    The rope slipped down the side of the pole and he got his leg over it. They'll panic over stuff like that but you can train them not to.

    Pressure and release training works pretty well. Normally you can put a rope on their leg and let them flail and panic (not tied to anything of course) but the second they start to relax you take it away (aka release).

    There was a horse at my barn once who I noticed was standing awkwardly in the distance. So I went over and discovered she was standing there with her leg sticking straight out tangled in the fence. She was patiently waiting for someone to save her. lol

    Some horses are really bad at pulling back when tied.

    Didn't look like she had a quick release knot either or it was too tight to pull.

    Horses are naturally claustrophobic too and yet we stuff them into all sorts of things lol.
