Not camping per say, but ready to roll with my new camper. Going to head out this weekend for a little cold camping and stay nice and warm in my camper with the furnace pumping.

Yep, pretty freaking sweet, not sure what I'd do with all the shit in my bed though :)

Correct. 1994 Northern Lite 6'10" Pretty much the lightest camper I could find that still had all the goodies like a stove, sink, fridge and furnace. Two beds. One above the cab and the table area folds into a small bed. Good enough for kids but that's it. Dry weight is listed as 350 kg and it says with the standard equipment of 18 gal fresh water tank and 20lb propane. I'm not sure if that means 350kg when you have 18 gal of water? Dunno. Either way, it's manageable at around 750 lbs ish with air bags in the back. It's a two piece fibreglass clamshell design. These things don't leak Only thing left to do is get proper E rated tires for the extra load. Previous owner put in an AC unit above the fridge. Going to tear it out to save on weight. It only works when plugged into 120v and I never camp anywhere where there is power.

    Few more pics

Moreover You know the saying "happy wife happy life", I got plenty of friends whose only way to the outdoors was by buying a trailer. Not to mention when deer camp doesn't have one that's all I can think about

Had a big group sleeping in the pop up camper and i slept on this platform i made for weekend/ Overland trips. Its now carpeted and actually very comfy with a sleeping bag and pillow!(The white Tacoma is mine, Red on the left is my best friends)

I like the idea of a less-than-full-width platform for one person. I gives you a place to swing your legs over the side, making it easier to get in and out.

I'm planning a 30" wide platform for my gen 2. Should be nice and comfy with enough space underneath that I won't have a bunch of crap in the "aisle".

Yup exactly why i made it that way, pack all your stuff underneath and still have room, I'm 6 foot 2 so my ankles did hurt a little from being sideways all night but in the summer i can leave the back open with a mosquito net and have more room. Literally only cost me 40$ to make, Where in Maryland are you? Check out the "Maryland Tacomas" thread!

Sleep under the black soft topper. Not bad even when it is cold out. This pic also shows how much bigger the newer Tundra is than a 1st gen Tacoma.

I throw a tarp over the top. Helps seal it up. When it is really cold it sucks. Hard side campers or toppers are way better for that.

Upgraded my truck camping/expedition setup by building a sweet camp kitchen. I built it to fit my propane stove and the rest of my kitchen gear so I can stop searching for my crap in a plastic milk crate. Built with 1/2" birch ply and dadoed biscuit joinery and glue. Dimensions are 24"x15"x20" (WxLxH) nested and it's 36" tall when assembled. I have since polyurethaned it and rubberized the ends of the legs for durability. Time for a camping trip!

Click the screenshot for a video of it in action!
