    If you are lifting your truck for increased travel then you really should reconsider the Firestones. The bags do not stretch much so you will not get a whole lot of travel out of them. I think they helped smooth out my ride and made the truck much more stable while towing; but I do not take my Tacoma off roading anymore. Just my two cents.

    only the front set of 5100's are adjustable...

    i put a 1" block on the rear after getting the 2007 leaf spring recall thing from toyota.

    i have the fronts set to (i think) 1.5...def was not the bottom or top setting.
    and with the added height from springs and 1" block....it sets just right.

    the only bad thing about a block is that you get alot of axle wrap when coming to a stop at speed. it will "clunk" back around when you let off the brakes (feels like you are getting bumped from someone behind you)

    not sure about the 1st gen, but the 2nd gen has two different ones. one that's good for 0-1.5" lift, and one that's good for 3-4" lift.

    About 2 months ago I was asking your opinions on where to go in DFW, Texas while I was there on business. I didn't end up having the time to check out the places suggested, but I will say I love Texas. If I could relocate my family and keep my job I would up and leave in a heartbeat.

    Here are a few little things I liked the most.....
    The shape of you state is stamped in almost every overpass on the highways..
    Things are spread out the way that they should be, the roads, the distance between buildings, the whole damn metroplex..
    Banana Pudding
    The BBQ, and how it seems every place has their own smoker in house. I had a smoked steak for the first time..
    Lots of Texas pride haha, one small example is that I saw a lot of "Texas Edition" badges on cars/trucks, no "Pennsylvania Edition" that exists in PA haha
    people are more pleasant... both in traffic, standing in a line, at a bar, just plain nicer..

    Glad you enjoyed your trip down here; maybe next time you can spend a little more time and see the other parts of the state. I grew up in the DFW area but the rest of the state is pretty amazing also. You should check out the Hill Country and Big Bend. Both of those areas will impress you.
