What about saturday? I am still a go but to be back by 1pm would be pushing it I think on Sunday. A later start for me would be preferred since it is pretty cold.

I agree. The only problem is that I work until 12 and sometimes 1PM on Saturdays. For a ride this long, I figured I should have picked a day I'm actually off. Its my only day off every week until Christmas.

    Welcome aboard surferkid

I've got your number. I'll check with you on Sat to let you know if I'm down for the Sunday ride. If its a smaller group, I may be able to squeeze it in and make the Christmas party as well. Def ttys.

Copy that. I'll hold you to that.

I understand how important Church is. We'll def schedule the next ride on a Saturday.

    Happy trails. :D

Hey there is a ride tomorrow morning at 8:30am at MTRP if you can make it.

I am not going to be there as I have another planned ride up north.

I think this group is also going to start riding and recruiting people for saturdays at MTRP the reason being is to show the mass amount of bikers that use MTRP since they are closing a few trails that were built years ago illegally but never enforced closures until now because of a planning moving forward.

MTBR forum but I know other forums that are joining in as well. I plan to do this if it keeps going as we are losing locals trails at an alarming rate.

    Cheers,

    Grant

Saw this on MTBR and looks like they are planning to do it big in jan. I was debating on going but seemed too unorganized this time

Here are the details. I plan on showing up. I would say this would be a more casual talking pace ride.

    From another forum:

I know what they say about these things. "The more the better" but are they really going to miss us? Probably not. I'd say let's do a trail where we're actually gonna be riding. My two cents.

    Where: Mission Trails Regional Park
Meet at the information Center Main Parking Lot.
Open to Mountain Bikers / BMX / Trail Runners - All users welcomed.
    Updated 12/17/13
This ride is to protest the recent trail closures. Your local media is expected to be there.

I'm thinking we'll more than likely deviate from this gathering soon after we observe the conditions out there. If anything, we can go a loop headed towards uphill alley.

9-1. Are you free that day?

If everyone is worried about the crowd we could meet on clairemont entrance and just ride the west side to E-Ticket. Its like 6-8 miles if I remember.

I couldn't be there until 1 if I were to go. I was thinking the exact same thing… just meet there anyways but on the Clairemont Mesa side of MTRP and start riding regardless around 1PM.
