I had the shop sandblast it and re-powder with metallic silver and two coats of clear, so it looks good in person. Smooth and glossy, not textured. Not quite the same level of gloss as the clear coat on the rest of the car, but hard to tell in broad daylight.

mind if I ask how much it cost? I'd *probably* paint it myself to save some coin, but I like the idea of having it PC'd. I thought about color matching my sliders, but it makes no sense, they're gonna get abused anyway

So, has anyone replace a light in any of the switches.

It was a few hundred bucks to get it done. If I had black fender flares or a different color truck, or a different bumper I probably would've left it black.

I just noticed I have one out, at least it's the switch above the change compartment and easy to access.

the CBI I'm looking at is like 1800 bucks as it is, in bare steel... fuck. Likely just gonna stick with plastic I don't need a steel bumper or tire carrier anyway :(

So? You can get silver spray paint to touch them up just as easily as touching up black ones with black spray paint.

I didn't have to get a rear bumper either, but when I got rear ended last week I was glad I had a steel plate bumper...

When you swing the tire gate out and there's all that leverage on the rear passenger corner, does it fix your taco lean? :D

Sliders are low enough on the car to not interfere with any of the body lines so I just left mine black. I have a buddy with a 5gen 4runner who is getting paint-matched front bumper and sliders. I can get pics when it's done if you want.

Why would you color match sliders? Just curious since the point of sliders is to get beat up and they get scratched if you use them.. color matching them would just be a waste of money IMO

See below, but it's much easier to touch up the satin black rustoleum enamel I have on there than it is to do the color matched silver. This stuff doesn't even need a primer. it's just mask and spray

Yeah, but the taco ones aren't 2100 bucks shipped + paint, are they?

This was the conclusion that I came to.

Some pics of the 5th gen would be cool!
