check engine light trd s/c

Hi to all, I just had a trd s/c installed check engine light has come on twice, 2 days apart, seems to be a evap code, anyone had this issue before, i will post pics of my truck today, i am in the san fernando area also if anyone can suggest a good mechanic of offroad shop, thanks

i had a shop install it, he has put plenty of them on, seems to be running fine, gas mileage sucks, but i also just had 33 nittos put on at the same time, should have stayed with 32's getting some rub going over dips, guess i have to crank up C/O some more, so much for having a smooth ride, i am going to post some pics if i can figure out how. thx

 

haha, seems like the more money i keep dumping into this thing the more headache i get. socaltacos, code could be just the gas cap, any thought on that anyone

May want to do a cab mount chop to clear the 33's...almost required for these trucks.
kibbetech in simi valley could do that for ya.

Can you post the exact code your getting? Evap code could be as simple as loose gas cap.

most likely the intake your running.

and yes. Cab mount chop will solve most of your issues. the rest youll have to trim your fenders.

 

Where in sfv are you? Ill be driving through there today and I have a code reader. We can check the code and if its the charger we can remove it immediately.

yeah had ecu ref lashed at toyota, gonna crank up coilovers in a bit, gonna check youtube for a cab mount chop, guess i better break out the sawz all, gonna go back to 32" tires for sure. love the icon suspension, i hammer my truck on the daily, live in the country on poorly maintained roads in norcal, just down here for the holidays, really aprecciate all the input

 

i have a unichip at home up north, waiting to ref lash it, i know people on here dont seem to like them much, but i had it on my truck for some time , definitely was a more aggressive map than the stock one

 

error code was p0456 small evap leak, installed new gas cap, cranked up C/O's not rubbing anymore, thanks again everyone
