I would most likely go for a Tundra or F-150 FX4. I would love to have the space, but don't tow anything large, so any HD diesel would just be wasteful for me.

I really love the design of the RAM 1500s, but I had a bad experience with reliability with a 2012 Chrysler product. My dad has had two RAMs that have both been great, but he is a pretty low mileage driver. I poke around on the other truck forums from time to time, and have found some interesting stuff on the RAM ones. It seems that if the 2012+ truck has an "S" in its VIN 11th Digit, it was built in a plant with some significant issues. A lot of the owners on these forums with these trucks are having lots of problems early on in the truck's life.

Here is an article about that plant.

I sold my Taco and bought a Ford F-250 a couple of months ago. Love the F-250.

For all that is saying they would go with the Chevy or GMC diesel, only thing I would say is buy a heavy duty skid plate for the DEF tank cause it is in a crappy spot.

If I had to go full size, I'd probably go old school. I always had a weakness for the old Jeep J-Series trucks. Probably comes from watching Tremors too many times when I was younger, haha. :D

It would have to be a chevy/gmc duramax and if you weren't haulin then tacoma. Not sure what the full size gas truck would be useful for if not haulin when you could have a taco

Now that you've had it for a while, what are you getting for MPG's with it?

It does look girlish, and I've only owned 1 piece of GM product and I hated every second of it.
    :goingcrazy:
About the same, 22ish when I'm light on the gas on the highway, 16-18 in town, about 10 when I use the boost a lot or tow. When I town anything you can't tell a trailer is back there though.

Well you know, Tacoma's look pretty girlish too.

Yours might look girlish but mine smells like man and bacon and is full of testosterone, plus when I hit the horn it has an aux tank of moose urine in the bed that dumps out for shits and giggles.

Tundra because, well, it's a Yota. Looks good. Good reviews. Priced reasonably.

Raptor because it's f'ing loaded. 6.2L v8. Factory equipped with fox and 35'' bfgs. Too bad it's like $60k for a new DC.

I've grown to be a fan of the 1995 F350 Crew Cab diesel. Truck is a beast. If I ever needed a full size truck I would want one of those.

If I ever needed to buy a full size truck I wouldn't consider it an off road vehicle, more of a work truck.

Here's a pic of a dually I would consider if ever needed...

I really don't need a full size but I suppose if I had to... its a tough choice.

1 Ram - I love the looks but definitely not quite sold on fiat/Chrysler quality. Everyone I know who has one loves it and has had good luck with them. I think they have come a long way from where they were. My wife has a dodge and it has been perfect for us.

2 Tundra - good truck, , toyota quality, not crazy about the look.

3 F-150 - I think it is hideous looking! I hear its a pretty solid truck though.

4 Silverado/sierra - no way in hell. I drive one at work and its a total POS! Also, I used to swear by GM, but I swore to myself I would not ever buy another one after my last Pontiac.

I was screwing around on their website and built one the other day for $50k for the double cab Raptor.
