Hey everyone, basically I made an account on here because I don't know what else to do. I was in an accident on this past Wednesday the 4th and totaled my Taco. She was the first truck I had ever bought off a lot and the first truck I payed for by myself with no assistance from an outside source. She means the world to me. I need to know whether shes worth saving or if i should just bite my lip, hold back the tears, and move on. The pictures I have I did not take since I was in the hospital for a couple days after the crash. I have no had a chance to see her since shes since been moved to LA and have no way of traveling out there.

Wow, glad you're okay! I'm sure your insurance will total it ... with that amount of damage there's no way they will pay to have it fixed. Good luck and hope you're recovery is going well.

Sorry for your loss! and glad you are okay!

That's pretty bad. Based on that side impact, you're likely looking at frame damage, engine damage, not to mention a ton of body work and new air bags. I'd move on.

Good to hear you are ok.

A lot of people break their truck apart and sell stuff off of it, if its not in a junkyard already. :anonymous:

I hope you recover quickly, however from looking at the photos, the frame looks bent to me, judging by the bed being out of line and the total damage, I would say she is totaled :(

grab something memorable and scrap her dude. That's tough.

    1. Do you have full coverage?

    2. Who was found to be at fault in the accident? i assume not you given where the damage is.

Sorry to see that. Glad to see you made it out relatively safe - are you okay after getting out of the hospital? That's most important, but losing a tacoma is pretty high up there on the list too.
Hopefully you can get another one soon.

I was afraid of that answer, but I figured as much. I've been hearing the same thing from everyone else but was hoping to at least have one bastion of hope. I felt like it was the least I could do for her after having her for two years with no problems whatsoever ya know? Thank you all for the advice and yes, I'm ok. I only spent two days in the hospital for a minor concussion and no broken bones, just scratches and bruises. The doctors were amazed I wasn't hurt. Guess my baby protected me until the end...

OH and yeah the insurance did not place me at fault, they valued the truck at 15k when I bought it for 12k, I'm gonna be getting around 3.5k out of it, not enough for a new one free and clear but maybe a down payment.
