That response was written by the under secretary of the department of defense and was his opinion only. The fight is not over!!!!

 

Doesn't sound like anything. No progress, no backtracking.

California has such a lack of public land it's ridiculous.

 

i does state that the hammers will still be able to race there though? or atleast thats how i understood it...

Looks like they came to an Agreement!

 

They did reach an agreement at the last hour, literally. good for the rock crawlers but the D37 people and desert racing lost big time, a lot of land was stkll lost. And it what's left won't be open for long after the first live fire excersizes take place.

 

what a shame.

 

Damn shame, just keeps getting chipped away. Ocotillio Wells SVRA is still under attack as well.
I guess its a small victory to keep some rather than lose all but like Tom said, once the ordinance starts being left around it will most certainly be closed. All it takes is a couple rounds to make their way "accidentally" into an area and it will be deemed unsafe for us to enter from there on out.

In a few short years there will be no real need for LT anywhere in SoCal other then to be cool just to have it. And certainly no need for a dedicated rock crawler

 

Sad but true, I wont stop resisting and fighting though.

 

You know what, it sucks, but its better than the Hammers and ALL the land being gone forever. I think this is the best compromise. THey are not allowed to have any live fire drills on the shared land. BLM owns it and its the law.
