my first bike. For what it was, I quite liked it. Swapped a few components out on it for cheap and just rode it. Handed it down to my wife, who rode it for a while. Traded it in Friday on a fs for my wife. Great entry level bike, imo, for someone looking to get started. :)

Hi all. I'm relatively new to TW and just found the mountain bike section. I thought I'd post my bike.

I'm riding a 2011 Stumpy FS. I bought it at my LBS. The bike was a demo bike, so I got a smokin' deal on it. The only issue I had with it was the color. It sat outside everyday on their racks when it wasn't being ridden. So the red turned into a faded pink. I did some creative masking and redid the paint, along with a Specialized "S" vinyl logo.

I think it turned out pretty good.

Not the same bike, but its little brother.

    Yeah.
A Moots single speed? Nice, I would ride it! When I eventually give up my 26" Fuel EX9 for a FS 650b or 29er, I will probably be converting my Sawyer to single speed. Maybe even belt drive.

    Yeah.
Same one I use, I carry the battery pack in the top media pocket of my Camelbak. My buddy attached his battery to his helmet and had a sore neck after the ride.

I did a test on high, and it will run almost 3 hours. It gets pretty hot just sitting there, though -- but out on a ride in colder weather it stays plenty cool. The low setting is bright enough, and I figure it would run at least 4 hours on that setting if not more.
