If you would have ordered the right grille in the first place you wouldn't have had any problems.

Although in their case I think if you didn't get chrome then technically that is their version of "black" and how they came factory, like such:

If/when we meet up I'll give you my old 98 headlights... you'll probably need to restore your new ones by then anyway

 

I like hoarding parts, good barter tools. Though I don't think anybody will want my old nasty ones I still have. I thought about painting them blue for funsies before I took them off lol

I've grown to not care about Ol' Red's front end over the course of the past 14 years... but I've never liked it.

I'm gonna be so psyched to see him scowling at everyone.

That is of course if the headlights work, the grille is hanging off and the bumper doesn't look stupid.

I don't have much sitting around from what I recall, most of it I've used or put on my truck. I had given some stuff to my ex too. Usually what I get decides my next mod lol. Won that light bar mount in Moab, so that lead to the satoshi, and now I need lights lol

I do have smittybilt handle things that you velcro to your interior cage. Not sure what to do with those but I'm keeping those for now.

And I've got more T-shirts and hats and drink coozies than I know what to do with.

 

I like the older grill much better, though I am biased a bit.

I parked the Tacoma in a heated garage for the month plus we will be away...The idea of taking pix of TITS was so appealing especially with 8-12" of new POWDA but 70 degree weather has won out...

 

Jeep folks love those things.

I see guys driving around town with 8 of them all over the cage... in a Jeep that's never been off the pavement.

Yeah... technically I have two pairs in my garage right now.

Deciding on which ones to go with.

Bought both Vision X and Rampage. I actually called the latter today and asked them why the product in the box differs from the picture on their website. The ones on their website have fully encapsulated bulb shields but what came in the box only has "ring" style bulb shields.

Apparently the manufacturer changed the design without letting them know.

Like usual, something simple gets more complicated. I have no idea what assembly to use.

The Rampage ones feel a lot more high quality but I always thought you needed the fully bulb shields for better light output.

$400 for headlights?

For that much money they better tuck me in at night and gently stroke my hair until I drift off asleep.

 

I agree it's a little high, but it cost me over $350 to do it myself.
