I have to agree. I will begrudgingly like to see the sox win it...because I'm an American league guy. but the cards should take it

should be a good series either way.

I'm a sox fan, so needless to say I'm happy.

But just as an aside...this was a really great World Series.

A lot of fun to watch

Wish I could have been there to watch Boston clinch their first World Series at home in 95 years! At least I got to watch it on TV

    yes. good series.

I would have bet on Cards to win if I was a gamblin' man. Good thing I'm not.

just one of those years for the Sox. I'll admit, very entertaining to watch Boston play ball this year. I'm happy for sox fans and the city.

I think it'll help Molina stay healthy for the next 5 years we're paying him a lot of money. Most people try to slide around the plate now anyway, so I don't think it'll seem much different.

Kinda wish I'd seen this thread before.

I worked for the Mariners for 7 years. But I grew up in St. Louis...so...you know...

The collision rule was coming anyway, so might as well get it done. There's way too much money wrapped up in players these days to have someone get their knee/shoulder/head destroyed in a mid-May game.

I'm mildly concerned about letting umpires decide what "blocking the plate" and "contact" is, though. Is it a 0% thing? You CANNOT be obscuring the plate at all, and CANNOT make contact with the catcher? Seems like a lot of grey area.
