    BAD NEWS !!! BAJA FANS !!! my dealer said the suspension kit has been BLOCKED by toyota for sale....I cannot get one from any of the sources mentioned here....see the response:
    Hello

    Thank you for inquiring about the Toyota Baja suspension package. We have researched this kit though Toyota to try and get one for you. Unfortunately we are not able to get one because Toyota put them on a "stop sale" status. This means that the only way we can get one is for replacement for warranty if your vehicle came equipped with the Baja package. You informed us that there was one in Dallas Texas, and we called that dealer to find out that they cannot sell it to us either because of the stop sale status. You also informed us that a Toyota dealership in Morristown N.J. can get this for you. I called them this morning and talked to the parts department supervisor Kathy. She informed me that they do not have this part, and they cannot even order this part due to the stop sale status . I communicated to her that Richard Schaefer communicated to you via a e-mail that they could get one of these for you and ship it to you. She said that Richard was not in until later today and she doesn't not know why he would communicate this because of the parts status. She is going to have Richard give me a call, as well as talk with him in regards to this matter. We did communicate to John Burton our service writer that we can get a aftermarket suspension kit for you if this would be helpful? I would like to thank you for calling upon us to service all of your Toyota request

    Why would you talk to anyone besides the contacts specifically mentioned a hundred times in this thread? That's the easiest way to start raising red flags and get it shut down

    Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
    X3 or whatever we are at..

    Way to possibly endanger a good deal..

    NO ONE - I repeat NO ONE can get these anymore...I tried the 2 guys mentioned on this thread first -and they are SHUT DOWN also..........any other suggestions ???????????

    I keep saying it is happening soon, but haven't found the time yet. I am putting my truck back to stock and selling it.

    I will have a Baja kit with less than 5k miles on it for sale

    Glad I got the package when I did! Ace, unfortunately for you, I think the price just went up...

    I wonder if it has anything to do with the rumors of Toyota discontinuing the Baja package? Maybe parts aren't going to be as readily available??

    Yeah I can confirm. Ran the Baja suspension kit part number by the parts guy today and he confirmed he can't order it.

    I was able to get an OEM Black 'TRD' emblem though, so that'll be nice once I get my truck.

    Looks like I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for Toyota to make that suspension available.

    I was working on ordering the kit and had the same luck. At this point there is no way I'm going to pursue it due to the questionable availability of parts when things eventually fail!

    Even if they discontinued them, the parts have to be avail for 15 years, at least I think its something like that.


    If it is discontinued that is even more reason to sell the parts as a TRD accessory!

    Mine said the same thing when I bought my truck in early 2013.. then a few weeks later.. there they were..

    The guy down the block has a white DC baja taco, and a white Rock warrior tundra..

    Not surprising they discontinue a 38k mid-sized truck, I paid less than that for a fully loaded F150.

    I've never seen an F150 on any list of vehicles with the highest resell value, but the Tacoma is almost always near the top. i would bet $ even a new baja tacoma will hold it's value better than any model of f150.

    Yeah that is my truck, it's also list in the classified secion here on TW. Decided to try and sell as is first.
