(possible sticky) WHEN DID YOU 100% KNOW SHE WAS YOURS FOR LIFE!

the reason i am posting this is because i had the check engine light come on tonight, drove about 159 miles got to the house and put the ODB on her and the reading came back cylinder 6 not firing. i went bought some iridium spark plugs changed them all, same reading. then tested coils, all good, yet same error code!

so before thinking we started cutting and replacing any vacuum hoses and wiring we could see, do some then check ODB and see if engine light still on.

then do more.

for alot of you this may be stupid and not make since and you not see the point, but for people who have built some off-road trucks before or track cars before, the VERY second you( without even thinking about it), dive in 100% and start replacing and modding and 'zip tie'n' while you test, etc, not worring about if you may have to leave it in the shop tomorrow because you did not finsih your project

thats when she is your for life and gonna be YOUR TOY AND YOUR PERSONAL TRUCK/PROJECT


for me, even though i never planned on selling her, it hit me at about 10:30 PM central time 12/15/13

it was the same feelingi got when building other trucks, jeeps, bronco, i can not be the only one

the isea is that at some point when your working on your rig you know you are really keeping it until its dead, that point where you quit seeing it as a daily driver and actually YOURS, you have an idea, you do it, thre is a problem, you just dig in and test, cut, test, replace, test, move, test, rewire, test, etc and do not worry about resale value or if you have to leave it in the shop for the night and go to work in the morning then when ya get back tomorroe nite work on her some more until its right


maybe i'm out there or crazy or something, lol! but i think EVERYONE HAS THAT MOMENT when you know a car/truck/jeep is your project and you gonna have it, tear it apart modding it over and over everytime you have an idea or you try to work out a problem, etc till its dead, lol!
