Yeah. It's on a Canon 7D.. so technically, I've been walking around at ~35mm all week.. lol

Yeah, i absolutely LOVE this lens.. it's the only one I've had since getting my 7D and it works great as an everyday walk around lens..
and it seems Most street photography I've found online is shot/edited to B&W or monochrome these days.. I've always enjoyed the simplicity of B&W which is probably one of the reasons I've enjoyed looking at Street photos..

I like B&W too..i just didn't have any good ones for B&W haha

But yea i bet its a nice lens. But i like having an 18mm..(24mm)..bit wider haha

id love a FF really..but..NOT in the cards and im not serious enough for that yet anyways. Too much money.

Need to invest in good glass first.

JK... Was jabbing back from your last quote. I dig the eagle shots! Yea, when I walked up on the guy he was counting this huge wad o cash, I wanted to catch some shots sans flash so I was shooting at ISO 1600-3200 at f1.4... Not a lot in focus. Afterwards I was chatting with him and he was showing me all this crap people gave him. Bottle of champagne, skateboard etc. Homeless might be my fallback career.

Well prime's are usually more expensive. But because there is not moving parts they can make them much faster by having a set bigger apeture in the lens.

Idk..for you and just versitily stand point..i bet the 150-500 would be good..whats the f stop on them?

Yea, should be nice with the crop body and I can always add a tele converter down the road if its not close enough... Anything in the canon realm gets way spendy over that 400. I wont be getting that 400 tho unless I get some outside help at some point

    outside help? like what?...

    really? come on..

    haha

the cool coverters that multiply the lens by like..1.8 or x2 or even more.

most are x2. My dad has two of them so could have a x4 if you stack them. But you add more glass so you loose a bit of crispness.

    haha who doesn't want a 10-22? haha for reals..haha

I want one to do star shots! plus land scapes are so fun..

other then that..im not really sure..i gues the 24-105 would be nice. I still want a 50mm too..the f1.4 would be sweet.

the 16-35mm L would be sick for when/if i get a full frame.

id probably be fine with a 70-300 for a tele lens...with a converter..i haven't been big on the long range lens yet..
