Hydrogen pump

wondering if anyone put a hydrogen pump on your tacoma and did it make a difference

WTF is a hydrogen pump supposed to do for a Taco?

 

I think he's talking about the hydrogen gas injection into the air intake. Supposedly it increases gas mileage. There seems to be quite a debate over whether it actually works.

This is called a hydrogen booster. Yes it does work. it works for all gasoline and diesel vehicles.

 

How is it suppose to work I heard someone saying they got 15 more miles a gallon on a f250 wonder what it would do for a 4cyl

 

A lot of people have heard about them, but it seems that many (like myself) are skeptical of if they actually work. I've read several websites of manufacturers that claim these work. It seems their claims are valid if you overinflate your tires and trick your o2 sensors, or some other stuff which seems to cloud the issue of whether or not hydrogen by itself really helps boots mpg.

I myself do not know one way or the other. I'd really like to see a reputable unbiased analysis of if it works.

if you do some research, it's not that complex. this was in fact designed before we were born. when someone made it, guess who bought the patent and hid it away? the oil company.

As far as how it works, its just basic electrolysis. split H2O using a certain current and needing a small amount of Lye or potassium something?? It's actually very simple to make. Do some research on parts. Some guys made it on youtube and will demonstrate that hydrogen comes out.

There's nothing bias about it.

I was gonna do this years ago after i did tons of research. Life got busy, and many hobbies and just got lazy and forgot about it. I actually got all the parts for it except for the relay.

 

They did. It doesn't work well enough to invest any money into it. If it did work well enough, we'd all have one.

My brother built one for his Ford Ranger. It worked pretty well. I've thought about doing one, but don't really want to mess with it. To get significant gains it takes alot of calibration in terms of how much hydrogen to produce/ mix for maximum efficiency.
