I have not tried that product. If you are happy with the GG product then keep on using it. I use a sealant then the DP product and it works for me. But then I have a street Tacoma and do not off road.

What about matte black wheels? Tried armor all wheel protectant but it left a faint white residue after it dried. Think it was meant for alloy colored wheels.

Collinite 845 is a great wax.

 

Any suggestions for spot-cleaning Wet Okoles?

 

Folex works for me. I spray some on a clean microfiber cloth and wipe down the Wet Okoles. Follow up with a wet, heavily wrung out, microfiber cloth and do a second wipe down.

So my rear bumper trim is still brand new, I was wondering if it's okay to maintain it with the mothers back to black? My truck is garaged kept, but I want to maintain that nice black look without fading. Thanks.

 

I am not a pro, but I used that stuff on my Mustang from Day 1. I didn't have it long (2 years), but all the plastic looked great even after a rough Chicago winters.

 

Sure it would be OK but CarPro D-Lux, Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant or even Duragloss #271 would be better options, in my honest opinion.

 

Got a dent in my bumper, sorry for the blurry cell phone pic, think this is something I can fix myself?

 

I would think you could improve the appearance of the dent. A new bumper may be the only way to completely restore it. Just a guess of course.....

Just curious, How often do you guys wash your trucks? Every month, every two weeks. Been busy lately so I haven't washed mine for a little over a month. Its killing me. Haha. Gotta do it soon.

 

I try to wash it when it needs it. Keeping the Tacoma in a garage helps to minimize the times I need to wash it. If the temps get up to 40 today I will wash it.

 

Obviously it depends on how much it is driven and where it is parked. My vehicles get washed weekly religiously. That being said, proper technique is far more important than frequency of washes.

 

IDK if this has already been answered in here or not butt can someone tell me what the best polisher is? Im looking at an orbital one since its a little less harsh on paint form ppl that aren't pros. I know there are a few brands on Autogeek that I looked at just curious what I should look for brand and option wise. Thanks in advance, any advice is grreat

 

I have a Porter Cable 7424 XP and couldn't be more happy with it. Shop around on the interwebs for the best price.

 

Yes that was the one I was looking at and I was also looking at the Makita 6040. But thank you for your input. It helps when ppl have used to product and don't have bad things to say.

 

When I did my research before buying my Porter Cable, some detailers mentioned that the PC was more forgiving with the less experienced user. A lot of pro's love the Flex, but they said that the novice user could wreck their paint if they did not know what they were doing. I'm not sure about the Makita.
