He emailed me last week and said they had training on a new machine this past week... Waiting on something as well.

 

Heh, there's nothing like the sound of a big block at full song. After that, a V6...well...it just doesn't sound like much.

But yeah, if I ditch my stock muffler it will only be for any minor exhaust flow improvements it will give me and not because of the sound. Mine sounds a bit too much like a Chevy V6 anyway. Ford V6s sound better, IMHO.

 

I'm waiting on parts from defined engineering as well and he says they are way backed up as well.

 

Ain't that true I had a set of dual flow masters on my 89 b2 and people were always asking if I had a v-8 in it

I'm sure it sounds nice with all that work that was mentioned, but...in all honesty, compared to a big block V8 twisting at 5 or 6K...

Not much can compete with that.

That said, I do have to admit that I liked the sound of the old Toy 22R 4 bangers with a high flow muffler when playing in slick stuff. They had a nice throaty purr to them.

 

I know what ya mean nothing really beats a big v8 sound wise unless it's an older Porsche engine. I have a thing for those.

 

I'm very fond of my Magnaflow muffler. Quiet at idle, minor growl cruising and accelerating, roars when I really get on the gas.

 

I am interested in hearing yours though. I've never really paid attention to whether or not the 4.0s sound similar to my 3.4. Like I said though, my 3.4 sounds a bit too much like a Chevy V6 for me to be terribly impressed with it.

If I ever do change the muffler on it, I'll probably go up to a 2 7/8 or 3" tail pipe to try and bring the tone down lower, but that's basically all I'll do to improve the sound.

 

Had a flo on my 92 3.0 sweet sound .quite unless you got on it.. no inside noise at all

 

I'm not familiar with what a Chevy v6 sounds like so I couldn't really say.

I ended up getting my setup because I broke a bolt off of my headers when I was installing a high clearance y pipe so I could run ATO skids. You could always have a local muffler shop swap in a 40 series and dump it before the axle.

 

That's exactly how my F250 (with a 40 series 3" inlet/duel 2 7/8 out) was plumbed. On the Taco, though, I'll probably have them run it back to dump just after the rear axle...pretty much the same config it is now (I had to cut the tail pipe back to clear the Dakar leafs).

 

MELBOURNE, Fla. —A man who allegedly broke into a Melbourne home was killed Sunday morning when the homeowner shot him, police said.



Jermaine Williams, 28, was shot around 2:13 a.m. at a home in the 1100 block of Mathers Street. He was pronounced dead at Holmes Regional Medical Center.
Williams was released from state prison less than a month ago and had a lengthy criminal history, said Sgt. Michael Casey of the Melbourne police. He has previously served time for battery on law enforcement, cocaine possession, sale of cocaine and sell of substances.
Police are investigating and have not determined if any charges should be filed against the homeowner, Casey said.

Oh hey I work at that hospital Hahahah sounds like a typical night.

 

The home owner heard about the midnight to 6 am brake ins in his neighborhood and was sleeping in the living room with his 9 mm.. I just love a story with a happy ending

so I was thinkin on the way back from work, I might take off my TRD Offroad stickers..since they are actually the 1st gen TRD stickers and its not a real TRD Taco.....what do you guys think?

 

Have any of you guys put OTRATTW switches in? I'm trying to install them next to my fog lights, but theres a bunch of wires in that blank switch. Wiring kind of sketches me out, so can i just push them aside? Any advice would be awesome, since the search method has not worked well for me thus far.

 

I just installed one in mine next to foglights. I just pushed the cables aside but one of those cables can be used to get power for the lights in the otrattw switch
