It's an okay show but the editing and the narration is way over the top. Before every commercial break or at the end of each show they show a wrecked truck and with sound effects and quick cuts to make it look like someone is going to get killed or seriously injured. When they return its always nothing, just a slip on the ice or they will show another truck passing and talk about how close it was.

The narrator sucks. Every hill and every curve he has to remind us what "could" happen and then they show a computer generated truck wrecking or crashing through the ice.

My husband and I watch every episode. We record it and watch it later.

We really enjoy the show. I think it's really neat that they're covering Lisa and she's prooving herself (atleast, that's what we're seeing in the show). Good for her!!

And I'm only saying that for HER (individuals prooving themselves). I hate all that womens lib crap. I can totally relate with her....my career is within a male dominated field too.

It's funny to see Hugh & Alex out of their element. Hugh is kinda too big for his britches...I hope he doesn't do something stupid someday.

Isn't the narrating done by Mike Rowe?

It is one of the only 2 reality shows I watch (the other being Ax Men). I told my wife I wanted to sleep with a trucker and showed her Lisa. She got a laugh out of that. Another plus for Lisa is she is running Lightforce lights!

I always thought Alex seemed like a likeable guy and is very down-to-earth. As opposed to Hugh. My wife has a hard time saying his name without attaching "asshole" to it.

I watched that show last year a good bit, but it got old. Going to commercial they'd show some potentially dangerous situation coming up after the break... then, after the break, the suspense would build and NOTHING would happen. Ever.

They're driving on ice. I get it... it's cool. But it's the same thing over and over and over.

This season they're not even on ice, are they? Just snowy roads. Blah.

Those snowy roads are actually ice roads.
To maintain them the alaska d.o.t. actually sprays water mixed with gravel to smooth out the road and give some sort of traction.

Are you saying - that's too easy?

Snowy/Icy roads with thousands of lbs in cargo going up very steep inclines & decents & around corners all while navigating roads that have edges that are barely visible in negative degree temps, white outs, moose, wide loads...etc?

I think its neat learning about all that stuff and seeing what other people are doing across the world. Besides.....History Channel has changed things up each season. From Canadian territories/river roads & such, to the Arctic circle open ocean ice roads to Alaska ice roads.

I'm actually very impressed with the way Alaska/USA takes driving seriously - with the many testing, training, & mentoring (so to speak), obviously...it's a lot more dangerous than we all think it is.

I think the show is sort of lame. Its not filmed in a very interesting way. I think the History Channel wanted their own Deadliest Catch and thus they came up with Ice Road Truckers. On top of that, this season they found a somewhat attractive woman to throw in there, which by reading comments here must have been a good idea.

Deadliest Catch is much better IMO than Ice Road Truckers, but they're both better than most of the crap on TV now a days.

I love Deadliest Catch. They do a much better job of showing the lives of the fisherman, so there's a real connection. It about the only show I make a point of watching. Tuesday's always Deadliest catch for me.

Next week's finale looks awesome. The big storm comes in and one ship ends up on the rocks. Looks like some serious Coast Guard action next week!

Nah... I'm not saying it's too easy. I'm just saying that the big draw the first season was that they were driving trucks on lakes! Even then, though, nothing exciting really ever happend.

I fully respect the talent it takes to do the job they're doing, and I certainly wouldn't want to do it... but the show isn't fun to watch anymore for me.
