none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
If you want to go super-cheap, stay in hotels along the newer strip. We stayed in a sleep in( which was nasty) for $40 a night. The cheapest casino seems to be the Stratosphere. But its sort of far off the beaten path. You would have to walk awhile to get to the good stuff. As others have said, prices in all the casinos are a lot cheaper than last year. You could probably stay in a decent place for under $500. If you want super-nice pools, the Wynn and Belagio have awesome lagoon-like pools. But these places are sort of expensive.

In my opinion the place is trashy. Its fun to do maybe once or twice. I don't gamble period. But its fun to walk through all the casinos. We spent a day solid just walking through all the big ones. I did not like walking on the sidewalks at night with my Wife. Lots of creepy men handing out brochures for strip shows and looking at my Wife. Lots of super-drunk college kids stumbling all over the place. Tons of depressing old people blowing buckets of quarters at slot machines. The buffets often have ridiculous lines and the prices are a little too high for what you get.

But... like I said- its an experience and worth doing at least once. Have fun!

If you want a budget trip I can point the way to $20-40/night hotels, but they aren't any place I'd want to stay :puke:.

I was saying hotels that used to be over $200 a night are now closer to $100-150, weekdays are always cheaper than weekends... :thumbsup:which in my opinion is not bad for a nice room on the strip.
I'd be checking out each hotels website for pics and details and comparing prices for what you are looking for. Some people don't want a 500sq ft hotel room with seperate living room and mini kitchen, some simply want a bed, toilet and shower.

OP....how much are you looking to spend for a room? Shows/Entertainment? Food? Renting a car or public transportation?

I saw the 'new' Flamingo pool and still not impressed, there are much nicer pools around than that :notsure: but everyone has an opinion. They also updated their rooms and look pretty nice online, but it is an older casino and it use to be a dump. ~$136/night (avg) at the Flamingo...I'd pay a little more to stay at a nicer newer hotel.
Mandalay Bay is cheap during the week, but gets pricey for weekends... $110 for thur and $270 for sat .

I agree with BobWilson...the strip is trashy, lots of bums, drunk kids and people handing out porno flyers. Locals stay away, we know how to get places through the rear doors ;). If you just ignore the solicitors they leave you alone. Seems people in their 20's enjoy Vegas more than others..I hate it here . I don't gamble and those people depress me. Most buffets suck, the 'around the world' style are the best since they serve food from many places ie. bigger selection...stick with restaurants and check the menu before going in.
