well ya...there is a coil...but it still isnt the same lol

i hope you at least have a coil in the coil bucket...

yours is really a combination of the two. the bar at the top (on the UCA) is the torsion bar and you dont have that. but where the shock is, you have a coil in a bucket with a shock in side it

oh, sorry, pal. i didn't read all the posts... didn't know. my bad

AAL 2": (I was wrong, the progressive AAL, which is superior handling, is only 1.5"; so, this would be your next cheapest bet at 2". Better, altogether, would be a new pack; but, it's X2 the $ and you're gonna need longer rear shocks; so, that's X3)

New Leaf Pack; OME Dakars 2.25":
    Longer Rear Shocks; 5100s:
    Front Adjustable 5100s:

you can achieve lift for cheaper; but, it will involve spacers/blocks/stuff (...hockey pucks) that most people on here will flame you to death for. haha

K sorry man, before giving Advice know what vehicle it is for and what actually fits it. 5 lugs have a totally different suspension than 6 lugs. Anythiń that you use to lift a 6 lug, at least in the front does not work. That includes 5100s ome ect.

The only way to lift a 5 lug is a longer coil or a spacer

If you put blocks in the rear you will lower the truck because it is spring under.

Op, this is simple. Go to google. Type in "03 5 lug tacoma lift kit"
And click on the different vendors and as what kits they have. Since you now want to do it on a budget, I doubt you will be up for any custom springs or leafs. So a kit will probAbly get you about 2.5 inches of lift, which will not be a whole lot on a 5 lug

If you want a truck to lift and go off roading, sell the 5lug and get a 6 lug 4x4 or pre runner

    Stupid I phone mistyping everything

No. That is a 5100, which I am almost positive is only for the 4wd, your eye spacing for the shock is different lengths. I don't even know if the one you posted is for a taco.

Like I said, go google for different kits and see what each cones with look for longer springs in a kit, or google 03 tacoma 5 lug lift coils. That would be your best bet

I don't know too much about lifting them (5lug) I lowered mine. Which is a hell of a lot easier than lifting

I'm lost here. What type of suspension does the OP have? From what I read he says he has torsion bars even though he has a 5lugger. If he just has the 5 lug suspension he can't use the bilstein adjustables. I think he's stuck with spacers up front and either new leaf springs, AAL's, or blocks for the rear.

I read the entire thread and was curious because he said he has torsion bars which is unheard of on tacomas, maybe a toyota truck but not tacoma model.

I'm going to lose my mind here.

Op has an 03 2.4. This much we know. It would be obvious if he had a pre 95
No tacoma ever had torsion bars. That is final.
The 5 lug suspension is COMPLETLEY different from the 6 lug
The front is NOT a coil over strut. It is a shock in side a coil which sit in a coil bucket. No shock that works with a 6 lug will fit a 5 lug.
The rear is spring under. So if you put a block in the leaf pack you lower it. The spring under pack is longer and has more arch than a 6 lug pack, so I don't think a 6 lug add a leaf would work to lift the rear because the springs are different shapes.

You must find a kit made for 5 lugs because I can bet 99% of the advice given hence forth will pertain to 6 lugs (which do not have a 2.4)

Op so we can settle this, please confirm the engine size and just take a picture of your front suspension so I can clarify all this for you.
