Lotteries are for those that aren't good at statistics.

We have 20 of us at work that regularly buy a pool of tickets. 3 of us are accountants. It's just pure fun I guess.

Just a bunch of old crap
We have been doing a work pool at my office for 2 weeks on this one. We keep rolling over our small winnings into the next drawing, and everyone is ponying up an additional $10 per drawing. 27 ways is only about $10mil take-home each but that's plenty for me to pay bills with and invest.

I'd quit my job on the spot, and put some good capital into my own existing business and give it a proper launch.

I'd definitely hire all the right people (lawyers and such) and lay low for a while if I won. Don't think I'd show myself on the news and such. I watch that show about the people who won the lottery and they do get creepers around and people always asking them for money.

Buy a nice house with land and a super nice barn and horses. Guns, rock crawler, make my own rock crawler course near the house, badass garage, muscle car collection, guns, and help out family and invest.

    And live the dream.

What is worse is that if you take the lump sum option instead of the annuity you end up losing almost half the winnings before Uncle Sam even gets HIS hand in the pot. Then, depending on the state you live in, you may have to pay state income tax as well!

Invest enough so I could live off the interest yearly.
    Buy property
Set up my kids accounts for life
Help family/ friends/ and those who need it with the rest.

Well, Nevada doesnt participate so I dont have a place to grab tickets. Might spend $5-10 on a few if there were a place, but oh well. Would likely be wasted money anyways.

If I won- Pay off all debt, buy a nice house with some property and a few new(er) vehicles(Diesel tow rig, sports car, maybe a few other 'toys'), buy a shit load of metal fab tools and get a huge shop for the business. And then build whatever the hell I want and race them- Ultra 4 buggy, trophy truck etc!! :burnrubber:

Whee! If I won, I'd pay off the house, remodel, give my family (and a few select friends) all a lump sum apiece. And everyone up here that helped me out when I needed it would get like triple time payback. I'd pay for my Mom's blood transfusions and all of her medications, and see if there's any sort of operation they can do to make her all better. Dad would be able to retire, and we could buy and work on our project cars.
I'd buy me a big old double wide trailer in Carolina, a real nice one, and throw it on a big ol piece of land where I can hunt, fish, shoot and all that on my own land without pissing people off. And I'd have lots of trucks (Hiluxes and Tacomas, mostly) and cars (Hondas, Mustangs, other classics, etc) and a big ol mud hole I can play in with the trucks. And I'd have a bunch of fourwheelers. And a giant garage. I'd probably keep a job though, just to have something to do. I'd give a lot to charity, to the NRA, and all that, but I'd keep the rest of it safe and hidden. I won't go blow it all at once.
    Oh, to dream... :)

I would buy 3 brand new decked out tacos and 3 $10k prepaid visa cards and give a key and a card to each one of my wheeling buddies for Christmas.

I'd buy my friend a new place for him to come back to TX from Illinois and set up a massive trail course on it for us to wheel on.

I'd buy myself a modest but big house on a massive piece of secluded south texas deer ranch land, any car my girlfriend wants, a new full size diesel truck and a new taco, and an underground vault loaded with guns.

I'd buy my parents a new house and pay off all their debt

Invest the rest of it. With no bills I don't see needing to worry about living off of more than 500k per year.
