Well I thought my rear bumper job came out good. Been on there a weekish. Weather has been ugly though. It showing signs of bubbling up where water must've got behind it and froze. Darn.

On your last coat make sure it's a nice heavy one and pull the tape off slowly right after u spray the last coat while it's still wet and u won't have that problem :)

You can use a toothpick also to help cut through the plasti dip that may have dried and adhered from the emblem to the tape. I just found it way easier to remove the emblems paint and then use 3m tape to put it back on. But, then again I painted mine with fluorescent green paint. I loved plastidip at first but then got tired of all the touch ups so I just peeled it all off and used a matte black spray paint and everything turned out great. The only thing that is still dipped and holding up (over a year now) is my rear bumper.

When trying to peel tape around masked emblems its best to do the 1st coat 50% transperency and let dry. Then for the next coat your gonna spray 3-5 coats all at once. After you spray heavily for the 2nd coat you can start to pull the tape and you shouldnt have any issues with the dip pulling up with the tape. Ive done it this way ever since I tried 7 times to do the tailgate emblems. It works every time. Dont be afraid to lay it on thick for the 2nd coat because its gotta equal atleast 3 coats to get a good enough coverage that will last a while. Hope this helps

Had to peel it off my rear bumper yesterday. Bubbled up so bad. I think it may just be too cold n nasty here in South Jersey to do it right now. I did the front grill when it was a little warmer and its holding up nice though.

You should do it in the late spring, early summer.

Dipping in the cold isn't the best thing to do. I found even dipping in the summer time when it's raining, dipping doesn't work all that well. You have to be at least in a place where it's room temp. I found being around 15C tempature is a good start to when it comes to dipping. If it's raining or cold then the dip isn't going to cure to what you're dipping very well. I would suggest like other posters to wait until spring/summer time.

I say black but try white. Anyway if you don't like it just peel it off :)

White might give the color matched look if that's what your wanting. I like to break up the colors more so, black would be my choice
