Pretty sure the strap tabs were put on last and not before it was cycled

Yea i was considering them for my cage after seeing Chris and Ron's but not after this hot mess haha

Hopefully you get it sorted out Chris, I know DMZ put my shocks as close to the frame as possible. I can bearly put my fingers between the shock and frame. I'm running 1.5" spacers and haven't rubbed yet.

Looks like you might get away with just moving the lower mounts in?

They have already been moved in. They are almost on the springs... Only real solution would be the top mounts which mean new cage... I have to talk to AMS and see what he says...

Now, now Mathew... to be fair EVERY fab shop lays an egg once in awhile, & pretty sure James would say the same, I think it's what happens after & how it's rectified is the bigger issue..( & I'm in no way defending AMS for any hack job incurred) But at the same time a quick visual by the builder should've been noted, & brought to the truck owners attention about the "OOPS!" situation... Last year I fucked up & accidently switched the pass. side leafpack (slightly softer & lower than the dr.side to comp the 'taco lean)... I just stood at the end of my drive & watched him drive away with his driverside a full 1.5" lower than the pass. side... I even waved..

But I DID call him about an hour later & told him he needed to come back next day so i could swappem' out....:eek:

You say that like Chris found 1 or 2 slipups.....there is a laundry list.

    • Shattered rear window replaced with one with a messed up seal
    • Broken tail lights
    • *Excessive* tire rub on bypasses
    • Spare tires didn't fit
    • Pinon angle off by 6+ degrees
    • Limit straps cutting after first trip out
    • Drive shaft length incorrect
    • Speed sensor ripped off first trip out

No, I say that like when someone calls out a shop by name for fucking up

(which in itself isn't bad if they don't owe up to it or correct it) Just sayin' you need to call them all out because it happens to all shops once in awhile or sooner or later, I'm not addressing the broken tail light thing, & granted thats a smelly laundry list of issues but bring me up to speed.. Are they working with chris to straighten out the BS ? Or are they giving him the bums rush , basically telling him to fuck off ? If this is the case then yeah, I'd sing like a canary,, but remember, I'm not defending them in any way, they've obviously fucked up, it just brings back my point of how its handled after the fact.. If the shop owner did his build , noted the mistakes, & corrected or IS correcting the issues , well ok then, next time be more careful & professional, if an employee did the build then the owner needs to be more proactive in overseeing the quality of work provided by his staff, & if its a case of "so fucking what" then obviously the doors won't be open long nor should they be...fair enough ??..;)

The spare tire carrier was built off a different brand of tires and the new tires didn't fit.

The resr taillights aren't broke. They just didn't line them up correctly to the glass.

Driveshaft shop did leave the shaft too long.

Speed sensor did rip off of plug and also was smashed by the bump stop.

Rear window was broken then replaced with the incorrect one. Finally got the correct one in yesterday.

Pinion angle has been corrected with me paying for shock tabs since I asked for 3" tabs.

Limit straps have hit the frame had enough to leave a couple little dents. And frayimg the straps.
