Thanks man. I love it! I might bend up a few and ship them unwelded to whoever. A lot cheaper than shipping a complete one. PCBuilder's one got me thinking about it.

I dunno about an exo. I wanted one at first, but there's only one or two that look decent. I might do some protection for the xtracab portion since that seems to be a likely area to raisin.

Haha yeah I sold it to a local guy for $100. While he was there, he also helped relocate the huge boulder that I, myself, and Bailey's decided to drag across the yard and deposit next to the driveway.

Edit- I don't know why the hell I'm talking to you guys. I should be out in the garage right now.

absolutely! my un welded cbi bumper was half the price of one built, with shipping.

and I agree with the x cab part, thats why i would start with that one first. i know ive posted this pic, but i adore this how this truck is built.

the x cab portion, and basically the entire cab portion would in theory be modeled like this.
    532656d1278183261-3rd-gen-4runner-exo-qu_8c648667a1d55dd42ac906741c97b2d96396391f.jpg
i see no need for fenders and all that now.

i know people hate how they look, the cog, yada yada. but i would LOVE at be able to lean into a rock, or flop and not really care that much. whoops, looks like i landed on my side, good thing the cage kept the cab in tact.

That trailer is awesome! That might very well have to be the next project after the truck is rolling again. :spy:

I don't understand why the guy has a kitchen sink and faucet... it didn't seem like water/pump was hooked up to it.

9/2/14 Edit: 4.3 Vortec installed, NP3500, custom NP233 transfer case, high pinion dana 44 SAS with ARB, 4.88 gears, bobbing the bed, 5" lift, boxed rear frame, custom s10 fuel tank mount, etc. 12/16/13 Edit: Currently tearing down a 2000 Blazer to transplant the 4.3 Vortec and 5spd manual transmission (NV3500 I believe) into the Taco. It'll pass CO emissions when done. Planning to post a thread once complete. E-Locker, budget CAI and exhaust, Warn Powerstation, Addicted Off Road bumper, ToyTec OME w/AAL lift, aftermarket stereo w/10 inch subwoofer (only cool when you realize how I fit it in a reg cab truck), dual lexus horns, roll bar, off road lights, CB radio, Powertrax Lock Right locker (front diff), ejecto seat, laser/phaser/ion ray gun, oil slick, heat seaking missles...
HOLY CRAP MAN. I quit reading your thread for a little over 6 months and your truck explodes. Guess I better start paying more attention. I skimmed through about 30 pages, it appears you are still going to power this monster with the 3RZ-FE? Once again, nice build!

'explodes' sounds like the most accurate description yet. :anonymous: Yeah still gonna run the 3RZ, due to the size, weight, and reliability. Turbo charged at tax return time.

hey man sorry to kind of randomly post on here but im just looking for a new exhaust for my 4 banger and i heard your 18" Magnaflow (11255) and i loved the sound. I'm just curious on how it sounds at higher rpms or for something like highway driving, I don't want it to be loud and annoying when just driving on the highway or around 50 mph. I'm also wondering if it will sound similar if i don't have my exhaust dumbed before the axle.

This is the sound clip I used

    -thanks

Highway driving (2-3k RPM) is fine. There's just a low/deep hum, nothing annoying or obnoxious. It really sounds great at all RPMs, I've been quite pleased with it and I'll be using it again with this build.

Actually, just found an old video that gives a better idea and with a wider range of RPMs, I'll download it now. Pretty sure I hit the rev limiter.
