I wanna give a big shoutout to Congress for killing any sort of retirement I was going to have. Instead of cutting off the retarded illegal aliens from getting paid taxes back, I get to lose plenty of cash over the 27 years after I retire...

It really is a shame we do not elect persons to congress that have served in the military. Currently only about 3% have served.

 

Means you lose 1% for the next 17 years? At least it only equates to about 20k over the life time right?

Looks like doing the math... after I retire I'll be losing out on about 80k in retirement pay.

I was at our local Veterans Cemetery this morning and all of the Vets there were pissed.

 

So, the average COLA is normally 1.9%, we are going to lose 1% of that allowance until 62.

 

I think there is another piece of the benefits that will be cut by 1.5% as well. I have not read the law. Just going on what I was told this morning when I went to place a wreath on my Mom's and Dad's gravesites.

A lot. Actually, one of the amendments brought up by the repubs was to quit paying the retarded illegal aliens the taxes they paid in from whatever job they had. They don't deserve their taxes back. It actually would have saved more than the 6bil over 10 years they said the military bill saved.

The bottom line is that this just is not right. Where would we be today, as a nation, without a strong military presence. The current military and the retired military put their life on the line for America and this is how our leaders treat them. Shooting them is too lenient of a punishment. They need to be stoned to death.

 

Agreed 100%. Too bad I can't say that out loud without repercussions for it. Also, they are cutting another 25k people from the AF in the next year.
