So a lot of people have asked me for a build thread. Fine. I guess.

I started looking for a new truck while sitting in Afghanistan, and after about 30 dealerships who had no idea what the "Baja" was, I found one who said, "we can try to get one, but it might be kinda hard." Long story short, I came home in June 2013 on R&R and basically as soon as I landed (around 1630) went to trade in my 07 Prerunner. Fortunately, the dealership was a mere 20 minute drive from the airport. All that being said, if I had it to do over again, I would certainly not get another Baja. I would get an O/R and build it from the ground up myself. Eventually, I will be swapping out the suspension, thereby wasting the money (in effect) on the Billys and Eibach Coil-overs. I do like the way the red TRD logo on the tailgate looks, and the Matte black Baja logo is nice, but on the black paint, you can only see it at certain angles/light.

This is what she looked like the day after I picked her up:

Not too many things happened while I was on leave, outside of having ordered the road armor bumper, a handful of Rigid Industry LEDs, and a Warn Zeon-8 - all of which would be installed by 4WP in Houston about 2 weeks after I returned to Afghanistan.

I have added a few different whizzbang things, a K&N CAI, 1.25 in spidertrax spacers, a Famous Fabrications thru-tailgate antenna/flag mount with a 4 ft Firestik, A hilift, which is mounted on the inside of the tailgate with a locking mount, a set of quick fists on either side of the bed for an axe and a shovel...

I got really tired of the predator tubsteps, and found a pair of relentless with kickouts for sale in Ohio, which I didn't hesitate to pick up, even though they were for an AC. I sold the tubes and had Kase weld on the sliders, which I then sanded, primed, and painted with undercoat paint.

After falling in love with a Soft topper that tore on my roadtrip, I picked another one up in Tennessee, but have recently fallen out of love with it, and am considering selling it and figuring out something a little more "me".

Here is how she sits today minus the CB antenna.

I have more pictures that I can add later and have a few more plans once I become an "employed veteran", and get a bit more settled.

    Interior:
    Weathertech Floormats
    Cobra 29 CB
    Console Vault

    Exterior:
Road Armor front bumper with 4 Dually D2 floods and a 20 inch light bar
    Warn Zeon 8 winch
    Relentless sliders
    Weathertech window visors
4ft Firestick mounted on a Famous Fab trhu-tailgate
    Bestop Black Diamond Soft Topper
    Debadged
    Deflapped

    Suspension:
    Blistein 9100s
    Eibach Coilovers

    Tires/Rims:
Fake ass beadlock TRD Baja rims
    BFG

    Perormance:
TRD cat back exhaust, dumped after the muffler
    K&N CAI

    Future Mods:
(HC) Armored rear bumper (I do live in Houston traffic)
    Full skids
    Front ARB locker
Dual Battery setup (just trying to figure out a good management system)
    Safari snorkel
URD Supercharger - depending on how silly the price is when they release it for the 2012+
    AAL pack and front springs
    Gears

This might be the strangest "build" thread I've ever read lol

Never thought about putting a rainbow unicorn in mine but I can see the appeal
