    Bummer. I was thinking I'd either go up 41 or 275-75, but I was looking to leave out in the AM to get there at 1000 or 1100. Otherwise, I could take 275 and meet at the apex.

    I want to do some exploring Friday.

    Honestly, I don't think it's too hard to find if you take I10 over to I75 (south) and get off at the Inverness exit. Just take 44 (Gulf to Lake HWY) west. You'll probably want to come in on Trail 13. If you stay on trail 13, it'll take you right to the Tillis Hill camp site. If you look in Google Earth, it'll even show the main trails through the WMA. You can go to street view to see what the entrance looks like from the paved road so you'll recognize it when you see it.

    If all else fails, I'm sure that someone that plans on being there by then would be willing to give up a cell number so you could call from the Wally world or Lowes parking lot and they could meet you to lead you in.

    Of course, if someone knows a better way that what I just described, please feel free to chime in since I'm not terribly familiar with that area. :D

    I have a question. How much firewood is gone through per night. I found a place that is selling some seasoned oak for $20 for 35-40 pieces of split chunks. Would that be enough for both nights, or would $40 worth be better? (I'm not sure I can fit more than that in my truck with the rest of the gear and she'll probably be squatting near the bumps with that.)

    wow, lookin at it, Trail 13 is extremely long especially coming from 44. What google is giving me is me taking I10 East then get on US19 S and then pretty much go parallel to Trail 13 on Lecanto HWY to Stage Coach Trail. I think Ill be able to find it :p. I hopefully plan on getting a CB before Citrus as well. What do you guys think of the 102" Whip?

    A whip is a pain in the arse. You smack it on everything, it swings around maniacally, and you have to have something pretty solid to mount it on due to the weight swinging around. Most ppl end up tying the end down which kinda defeats the purpose. You're better off with a Wilson or Firestik, IMHO.

    Anyway, as for trail 13 being long...yeah, and? :D I plan on being off the pavement as soon as possible. That's why I'm leaning toward coming up 41 to Brittle rd so I can come in on trail 24 to trail 11b then shooting across on trail 20 to trail 13 and the camp site...avoiding Lacanto rd and Stage Coach all together.

    ya I could see it being a pain, but I find it aesthetically pleasing :p and from what Ive been reading about it, its one of the better ones. I was just lookin at what direction it took me, I may end up either goin all the way down Trail 13 or just go to stage coach to T13. Ill prob end up seein some of you guys out there anyways, tacos are pretty easy to spot

    that is a very good question

    so I can do either of 2 things, first is either get up extremely early like at 4 or 5am and be there by 9 or 10ish, or I could come down the day before and just spend that night in a hotel and drive to the site that morning....hmmm
