Hey all. First off, I am sorry if this has been covered. Has anyone got a working link for the clutch bushing replacement how to? Or PDF?

I believe my issue is a seal in the assembly under the clutch pedal. I'd like a little clarification as to what that assembly is as well. Terribly sorry, should know. The shaft has become corroded so fluid is getting past a seal and remaining on the shaft.

Here is a picture or two of my concern:

I'm gonna bump this because I want some input. Thanks guys.

It is a 2007, V6, 4X4 if that makes a difference. I also found out that this the clutch master cylinder. Can anyone point me in a direction for bleeding the clutch? I might just replace the fluid and see if that helps but also if I need to replace the clutch master cylinder so I can remove the fluid before hand.

Hope this helps as I'm not familiar with the manuel trans taco's

the white stuff on the shaft looks like white grease thats been sprayed on the shaft, not corrosion
if a seal was leaking you would have no clutch
as for bleeding, follow the line from the master cyl down to the bell housing where you should find the bleed screw. (I think but I could be wrong)

P.S. maybe a better discription of whats wrong would help others

You're correct - that's part of the clutch master cylinder assembly.

It is possible to have a leaking master cylinder without losing your clutch, but you may slowly lose clutch pressure when the pedal is held down. That part is not supposed to be greased - it doesn't have any wear surfaces that would require lubrication.

Check your clutch fluid level and see if it's low.

Pictures are the only description needed - if they don't explain it to others, said others won't be of much help. ;)

There doesn't appear to be a whole lot wrong.

My clutch only engages the last 1/2" which has never sat too well with me. I've only had it a few months. But the other morning on my way into work I had the clutch to the floor, shifted into 5th and it ground the gears. So been pretty worried about it since then. Doesn't look like grease but still at work so can't check.

The clutch fluid doesn't appear to be low. I want to bleed the clutch, so I ordered a Haynes manual to try and learn how to do this one. I've bled brakes on dirt bikes and such. Figure not much harder if any.

I think it is some sort of grease. The metal doesn't appear to be pitted as I initially thought, though covered in crap that has stuck to it for sure. Perhaps the squeaky pedal is why someone did it...it worked I suppose. Never heard it. Still going to service the system when the manual gets here, pretty excited to have the manual honestly.
