Me & the guys I work with work from ground level to about 65 feet on a regular basis. A few years ago we had a guy fall from 15'6", he nearly didn't survive and will never be able to work again (paralyzed). He fell onto concrete, our bodies are not as tough as we think.

Isn't that the truth? I'm in decent shape for 44yrs (6' 185lbs) and I notice it takes me much longer to recuperate from a structure fire than it used to when I was in my 20s

I'm a pipe fitter-welder and I work mostly in industrial. I usually have to travel accross Canada 99% of the time since there is no work in my area. I also taught welding for the first time at a local college last year.

Yeah, I have worked in a few oil refineries. I was working in Newfoundland most of this year. There are a few projects going on there, but the one I was at is going to be a nickel processing plant.

Is it true what I heard about Sprat that there level 3 is equivalent to Iratas level 2. Maybe you can help out im a level 2 if wanted to work some where that required a sprat cert do I qualify with my Irata or do I have to reasess through sprat

Not really sure how the levels compare. I'd have to dig up my Sprat paperwork then compare it to the Irata quals. I'm pretty sure that the Irata and sprat is more or less interchangeable though your Irata cert is much more of a global cert. It would take a sprat evalulator to really tell you.
I can give you the email address of the one we have at Disney. He would be much better at answering all these questions for you. PM me if you want it.

    Not me.

I used to work traffic cameras at 30-50ft all the time when I was a field tech, and the only times I was really spooked were in trucks not designed for my working height.

But watching that Youtube video of the guy climbing the radio tower?
By the end of the video I have lost all of the feeling in my lower legs.
