    Reworked the problem and t2 has 14N of force

    So are you confident that's it? I guess I'm not seeing where the rest of the info for that diagram is. What is the mass or force of that box hanging down?

    Magnitude of T1 is 50N

    Trying to find magnitude of T2

    I got 14 N

    I got 45.32N but I could be rusty. The system is in equilibrium (it's not moving) and so you are looking for the x component of the 50N force, which is the side opposite of the 65 degree angle. So sin(65)=opp/50.
    Sin(65)=.906
    .906=opp/50
    .906(50)=45.32
    ??? Does that look right or am I making a mistake

    If you draw it more accurately, I think that answer makes sense. Your 65 degree angle looks more like 20 degrees. So T1 would be much closer to horizontal. You probably moved on from that problem but I feel compelled to help if someone asks for it, especially with physics. LMK if you need anything else

    I have no idea if your right or not. I'm not even in the class but they said it looks right to them. It's one of those drawings that's half assed drawn so you have to look at the numbers closely. I was doing percentages of load based on their angles.

    I didn't do the math but this would seem right. (probablly should be studying for statics) Just sum of the forces in the X and Y.

    Keep spotting this insane Tacoma in Lafayette - around 287 and South Boulder Rd.

    Tell me about it. That thing could lift its rear tire and piss all over Ol' Red.

    I think they're 37s or 40s. Thing is definitely built.

    Never seen it around town until the past week. Now I see it almost daily.

    Oh by no means am I saying it won't do awesome! Or not do a 100% better over shitty stock it will look super sweet. But I'm saying look at rock buggies you dont see many ifs buggies for good reason. Solid has less moving parts and so there for less weak points in it. if its gonna see more road than dirt ifs will ride way nicer so its a toss up.
