I used a few different ideas from others who did their own. I also tried to buy one but never got a reply to my posts or PMs so I decided to try and fab my own. Obviously I am a little of a type A personality and thanks to those who put their ideas out there for others. Copying is the highest form of flattery.

    Here you go.

The links will work on the attached PDF that has it all.

I Bought a pretty good med (24" x24") piece steel since I couldn't find a sheet of good alluminum. I basically tried a few methods to cut it. First was pneumatic die grinder. Tool slow and really not strong enough. Then I tried a hand held reciprocating saw with Med Metal Blade. No go, vibration. I then got the sawsall ready and said, let me see how the battery operated grinder works with a metal cutting blade. This was the ticket. Grinder all the way. I had a Dewalt 18v one but also bought another corderd Dewalt grinder on Amazon for $80 bucks (normally $179) that I needed for cutting off some parts from my daughters boy friends old Jeep to lift it. It took no more than 10 minutes to cut the piece.

Now for bending, I basically put the edge I wanted to bend (for the flanged bolts to affix it to the engine bay) in a Vice. Heated it with a hand held butaine torch and took a hammer and bent it over. I adheased some drawer liner foam cut to fit behind it and then tested the fit to get the holes drilled.

Pretty straight forward. I am now in the process of building a Plexi-Bender to do two more with thick plexi for two jeeps. (JK and XJ)

Oh, there is a support brace under it that I used an existing screw for the stock fuse box leg and bolt for the breaker to support it too.

    Any more questions, shoot.

Sure makes it easy for getting power that is protected. I love the add-a-fuses but with the number of lights, etc that are being added to it, just made sense. Same with the interior. I did tap into a few spots on the interior to get lights to dim and work with interior accent dash lighting.

Really pretty easy to do and I wasn't rushed so it morphed into an elaborate sub-panel. I do like it. When you get ready to do it, PM me, have some hints and short cuts for you.
