    Get 2 large boxes from home depot... Cut them to wrap around the skid.

    I've sent 1 out like that before, and have had one sent to me like that with no issues.

    I may have only needed 1 "large" box from home depot... Its large enough to wrap the plate up after u wrap the skid with some bubble wrap. I know its a skid, but if the finish looks good, might as well protect it.

    Remember, its not going in the box.... The box is just a wrapper and a place to stick a shipping label. Tape the &%$+! Out of the thing so it doesnt fall apart (the box).
    Also I cut small squares out of another box and wrapped those around the edges of the skid plate before I wrapped it with bubble wrap. This way the edges are protected and also help prevent the skd from murdering the box.
