And Damnit! I was wondering when someone was going to notice the phone... I noticed it as I was editing it and just said fk it. It was on a 10 sec timer, like a ninja bro!

I've been following Arias as well. He's who made me want a single off camera flash for street portrait stuff haha just seems that much less likely to get a shot. But you don't have to use it every shot. Like you said, just when you need it ha

 

$200 for a SB-800? DAMN!!!! I've got a SB-910 but I won't be buying another one of them or the 900. Even used you might as well buy a new one. Think I'm going to buy 2 yongnuo's. I'd jump at $200 for a SB-800 though. I'm

 

Yeah a friend of mine has two of them for off camera (uses them with a fuji x100s and a x1pro) and talks highly of them. He actually uses them more than his Canon flash. I can buy a ton of them at $70 cause I use manual flash anyway. I bought my 7' umbrella so I could have an excuse to buy more flashes. lol Sneaky sneaky.

 

I'm embarrassed to post this, but with as sick as I am, this is as good as its going to get. Me hiding behind the camera, as usual.

No need to be embarrassed. It's a self portrait and it has you in your environment. It's a portrait of who you are, a photographer. Good job! At least you were able to participate. Hope you feel better.

 

I got some last night, will go through them and pick one today. You were right, Ben, when you have an idea, gotta go with it right away!
Just after taking it, I realized it would have looked better if I wasn't up against a wall, but whatever, it was silly, and that's what I was going for. Maybe I'll try my original idea, too, see if I get a better one.
