5100's with 1.5" rear block

Just ordered 4 Bilstein 5100's from downsouth motor sports and a 1.5" block from toytech. Last night I woke up at 2 am and thought "shit, I wonder if I should of went with the 5125's for the rear" will the 5100's in the back work with the 1.5" blocks?

Does anyone have this setup that can provide a couple of pics? Want some rake because I put my sled in the back and don't want the ass to sag.

Your ass will sag eventually if you are using the factory leaf pack. Unloaded and you will have a slight rake though. The rear 5100s are fine for a 1.5" rear aal or block.

 

You will be fine with the 5100's in the rear. I had 2" AAL's with 5100's and they worked just fine. The guys that get the 5125's do more offroading to get that bit of more travel for the rear suspension but even I did some moderate offroading and everything was just fine. What do you plan on setting your fronts at?

 

Fronts at 1.75. Then 265 70/17 bfgoodrich all terrain's

 

You will have a little bit of rake but not a whole lot. I'd say maybe 1/2"-1".

 

I just finished my 2013 DC LB, with cap. 5100's all around set at 1.75 and 1" toytec block in rear. Rides really nice. 265/70/17 Goodyear tires.

So I am looking to get the 5100 bilsteins in the front and I was going to set them at the second to top notch, I believe its 2", I think the top notch is 2.5". Now for the rear, I was going to add 1" block. What bilstein should I put in the rear? a non adjustable one? or do I get the adjustable 5100 for the rear and set it a particular notch?

 

5100 rears. They are not adjustable. Also you'll want an aal (icon or wheelers) for the rear rather than a cheap block.

I would return the blocks and get the 2" AAL. My opinion. I have 5100's all around and a 2" AAL and had the same on my '05. Great set up and no issues.

 

If the second to top notch is what I think it is thats 1.75" not 2" and if you set it at that height in front then a 1" block should technically level it out.

 

I have mine at 1.75" w/ a 2" block in the rear w/ 5100's they work great. I also have 265 70 17s

 

For those of you using or planning to use the 2" aal, did your rear have a 4 leaf pack (3 leafs and overload) in it?

 

I have the progressive 3 leaf AAL from Toytec. I have the one for the TSB but you have the option of leaving the overload in or taking it out. I left it in because I have a Leer cap that on the way.

 

I have 5100 all around with a 1.5 AAL in the rear and the truck sits almost dead level with the fronts set at 2.5, feels a bit stiff but it is a truck right !!!!

 

I didnt get the TSB so mine only had 3 leafs so I just added a single 2" AAL. If you have the TSB done the specific TSB AAL's are around 1.5"s to give you the full 2"s of lift in the rear.
