My stickers were for my boots to be down. But I didn't! I didn't think having the strut shaft so close to action was a good thing. What could go wrong??

I thought the same thing. Still unsure if I should flip them around? If I have time this weekend, I may just do it to see if there's a difference.

I've read about this a for a while now (boot up vs. boot down) and it seems that there is no difference either way. Might as well find out first hand. I believe Bilstein suggests that the shocks are installed with the boots down as well.

I thought the stickers were wrong. Hell I didn't even get covers for my struts. Let me know if there is a difference. I think the boot down would be bad. Get a nick in the shaft and the seal is bad

I totally agree with you. When my friend and I were about to install them, we thought the same thing about the stickers and shaft pointing down. Mine did come with boots/covers, so I may just go for it.

    Same here.

Exactly how mine are installed and it rides fine for me as well. I'll only flip them around if I have the time this weekend. If not, then they'll stay as is.

    Clean truck btw!

    Nice!

Just put on the Dakars. ridiculously tall. Toytec states you can remove a leaf for less height but they are closed for at least the weekend. Does anyone know which one can be removed and what's the best way now that they are already on.

I wouldn't remove any leaves yet. Put some weight in the back and drive it for a couple weeks. They will settle quite a bit once they're broken in. After that if its too tall, then you can pull a leaf.

I have the toytec bilsteins coilovers still to put on. I really only wanted what ever was needed to clear my 33x10.5's that I just put on. I will try the weight and see what happens. Thanks for the info.

So if I measure right I am looking at 6 inch difference. Granted my old leafs were sagging but that still doesn't seem right for a 3-3.25 inch lift. My break line is screaming just sitting here. Any thoughts?

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
    What is your suspension setup?

Did you measure stock height from middle hub to fender lip?

I didn't measure before lifting but going off of what others have said... 21" is stock height from mid hub To fender lip up front and roughly 1 inch higher on the rear.

My hub to fender measurements are
    Front driver = 26"
    Front pass = 26.25"
    Rear driver = 26.5"
    Rear pass. = 26.5"

Based off these results I'm at around 5-5.25" lift up front &
4.5" of lift on the rear

I have them ordered but the point is that I was told I wouldn't need it with a 3 inch lift.
