Finally got out to the bush for some bowhunting today (after a four-day hiatus due to very cold weather). The temperature was a balmy 1C. :woot: Lots of tracks, but didn't see any deer. I'd try to sleep in the treestand, but I'm not really keen on falling 20 feet out of a tree. It's bad enough when you fall out of bed. Back at it tomorrow and will try to hunt as much as possible before the season ends December 31. Also have to grade the final exams of my course. Dayammm.

Mornin' Ken. That's quite a temperature swing.

It should be nice here today as well. It was a beautiful day yesterday.

Going to have an MRI on my knee this morning. It feels better , one week later, but I can feel that there is something wrong in there.

Morning Rob, just when I was getting used to the cold, this has to happen[IMG]
It will melt all the white stuff we got so we can start fresh for the next round of snow. I'm ready for it though, my neighbor has a new snow remover....what did you expect with me living in an over 55 community.LOL[IMG]

Mornin' Tom. Hope MRI shows the problem and it isn't too severe.

    how'd the mri go?

:yay: :woot: :yay: well, yes and no. My son was at the store and picked it up for me. Now just have to get my hands on it :goingcrazy: The store matched the online price  If he hadn't picked it up, they'd have sold out again before I could have gotten to the store. I called them yesterday and they were sold out, but got about a dozen in last night. Steven said they'd already sold 6 of them. Now, where's the best place to get ammo??

I'm just teasing about the snow... doesn't bother me in the least.

:spy: I won't miss!!! I got my marksman badge

    Evening all:
Now I know what to do!
Here's how to solve a snoring problem in deer camp!
Seems that they had to put two guys to a room, but the one guy really snored loudly. They figured that each one would take a turn sleeping in that room so one guy wouldn't have to put up with it the whole time.
Bob got to go first, and the next morning looked pretty rough, and said he was awake almost the whole night, and pretty well just laid there watching the guy.
Jake was next, and in the morning he also looked pretty rough, and said he was awake almost the whole night too, and just laid there watching.
Bill was next, and suffered the same as the others. He could only wonder how this guy could snore that loud as he too watched him.
Now it was BIG Joes turn.
They went to bed, and the next morning BIG Joe looked fine and was well rested
When asked how did he manage to sleep in the same room with this guy, he replied; well I tucked him in and gave him a kiss on the cheek. He stayed up all night watching me!

Ammo ... At a good price? Good luck if it's anything like here.

Got a device on that badge? Just curious I got the badge for long gun, but not handgun. I'm ok with my 45 now after taking a tactical course after I retired, but I never shot expert with the handgun on active duty.

If you've not shot one of those 50 cal handguns, it is NO JOKE. I've got one in my cabinet that Omer left for my son Mitch when he (Omer) moved to FL.

Carl, Funny deer camp story. My hunting buddy, Randy, and I both snore. The other guys refer to us as "Silver Backs"; but we don't bother each other.

The MRI was right on time today. I have a doctors appointment on the 24th at 08:45 in the AM to go over the results.

I was able to take in the new Hobbit movie today as well. Special effects are outstanding. Evangeline Lilly is some decent eye candy for us guys.
