Finally found the pictures! Hurricane Isabel, 2003 or whenever it was. I remember I was in 5th grade. Smashed the garage and part of the house. All we did to the garage was stand the walls back up and repair the half of the roof that had been FUBAR'ed. :D Fenwick Construction FTW!

LOL. True. Everyone in the truck, we are going to a snow pile for Christmas pics!

And, yeah. Ground is so saturated, so I can imagine there's gonna be a lot of the creeks rising pretty quick if we get a good amount of rain.

We had piles of snow, at the beginning of the week; and 60+ degrees today, what a change.

Oh yea, the fields look like lakes now; but no flooding, on the roads. In past years when the weather changed like this; we had major flooding, not now, though.

And up here in Ohio we had some pretty serious flooding today. This road is normally about 100 yards from a small creek. You can see the creek overflowing the road up ahead:eek: 4 days ago we had 6" of snow on the ground, WTF.

Yeah, I'd much rather have snow any day. Two feet of snow is much more manageable than 1/2 an inch of ice.

Ha ha yup, started kindergarten in 98. I'm still a baby compared to a lot of guys up here. I just find it disturbing that my little brothers, born in 98 and 99, are 14 and 15 now. O___o They're not allowed to be more than like 5 years old. Not allowed.
My youngest brother was born during Hurricane Floyd, September 14, 1999. Flood waters were three feet high in my neighborhood in Newport News. They still made us go to school that day, but ended up letting us out early at like 12. I remember on the bus looking out the window and seeing a white car overturned in a ditch. (the giant ditches that are like 10 feet deep and look like nose holes) The only part of it you could see was the very back end of the trunk. The school bus let me and my sister off at the end of the block. I was good for a minute, then I slipped under the water. Only reason me and Iva made it home was because our neighbor Phil yanked us up out of the water and into the back of his jacked up Bronco. Then we waited at the window, watching the storm with our Nonnie, until we got word that Jacob had been born. Dad said that the power was out at the hospital when Mom gave birth to him. He was delivered by flashlight. :D

Finally uploaded my photos from the ice storm last week. We got about 1/2 an inch, and were without power from Monday AM until late on Thursday, around 8PM. We were VERY glad to have the woodstoves and the hand pump for the well!
