x2, I towed a couple thousand pounds worth of baja sae car, enclosed trailer, welders, tools, and beer 1600 miles from Socorro NM to Bellingham WA with a one ton 6.7 cummins. The thing would break the tires loose (dually) with the trailer attached:eek:

My grandpas 7.3 isn't that loud ('specially compared to the old cummins) but it does pretty good for everything he needs it for.

I wanna chip it though, when we chipped our 99 with the 7.3 we got rid of the "driving with the Parkin brake on feel" and gained some MPG

the 6 position chip is really the only way to go on a 7.3 with the chip you have high idle all sorts of awesome tunes. way more capable than any edge or bully dog could produce

I'll keep that in mind for when I get my 7.3 (ACSB 4x4)
I doubt grandpa would get a chip for his, our family is very traditional/conservative (I was the first person in my immediate family to own a semi-auto shotgun, and dad was the first person in our family to buy a AR and a semi-auto pistol)

Haha that's funny. The 6 position is honestly the safest way to boost the power on the 7.3

    Edit
    Here's the website
Best way is to buy it from gearhead here in tx they probably have the best Tunes for a 7.3

I landed a clean (nice looking, no wobble or shitty landing) backside 360 snowboarding off of a natural feature (not a man Made jump) under the main chair lift on the hill full of people.
