It's getting picked up tomorrow for $3400... It's a great price for that 4.0, trans, and drive train.

That is awesome! Wish I could have been there to see it in person.

On a different note, not spending money on mods has my savings account growing. Going to sit down over the Christmas break and plan out a budget to see about that Lefty transfer case from Marlin Crawler. Or maybe a something else is in order...

Just swapped out the last part from my truck... Helped Cloudy out and gave him my spiral cable. Now his cruse, airbag, and steering wheel buttons work again.

Awesome! Sounds like you were able to help several people with parts and labor.

Glad you were able to get some cash out of the whole thing as well!

They tryed this about 8 years ago. The truth is it is way to big to close down there are many entrences to the wash so we will always be able to get out to where we go, may not be able to stage at the sand dune anymore because that's where everyone collects and is about the only place to hand those things out. Could just start staging off of Northern, by the big antenna...

Thinking more and more of replacing the truck with an 80-series Land Cruiser. Need to do a bunch of research to see what I'd be getting myself into.

Talk to BoxRocket. He is very well versed in Land Cruiser info. Did you look over on Expedition Portal? They have a great B/S/T thread that you might be able to find something in.

No, but I'll go poke my head in over there and see what the market looks like.

Yeah, BoxRocket got me thinking seriously of one. Gas mileage ain't great but they are beasts off road. I'm also considering a 1st Gen Tundra but not loving the idea of an IFS much anymore.

I'm going to finish up some minor mods/repairs on the truck and start doing some serious research.

Yeah, I've heard of people having issues with the new ballasts too. Mine haven't given me any issues, yet.

I haven't received mine yet but wish they had a retrofit the would fit inside the fog housing.

I don't have any new ones either. I'm using the ones they sent me. No issues with them at all ever since I put a better ground on the passenger side ballast.

Ya. I have to turn mine off and back on at least once or twice. Where do you have your grounds at?

Mine did flicker slightly at first for about a minute. Now that I moved my ground I have no issues.

My driver side ground is directly at the battery, and my passenger side is on a bolt that attaches the fender to the truck. My original ground was on one of the rubber pieces that keeps the hood from hitting the fenders.

Interesting. Mine are on each side of the radiator where the bolt and washer touch the frame. I just sanded down the paint
