Noob question. Wheel size help!!

    Im sorry if there was something posted about this earlier but im wondering what minimum and max diameter would be for a tire size thats 285/70/16?
    ive never quite undetrstood tha wheel part.

    You would go with a 16" wheel with that tire size. I've got 16x8 on my truck but those don't necessarily have to be the specs. I think this answers your question? Go check out the stickies up above.

    Like kenny650 said 285 is pretty much a 33" tire. As for how to read the measurements for 285/70/16:

    285 = is your section width, measuring across widthwise from the outer sidewall to the inner sidewall.

    70 = Sidewall , from rim to tread (higher the number bigger the sidewall and lower the number smaller the sidewall

    16 = well that's your wheel/rim size
