when installing bedsides on a 1st gen do you have to drill out the spot welds? or can you just cut off the stock bed side?

edit: ive seen somewher, where they just cut off the old bedside

I'm looking at a few HJC helmets that get good reviews. Leaning towards the is-16. Do you have one to recommend? I may get a better one down the road but this is the $ I can put into it now.

These are the only ones I have used and tried. I'm sure there are cheaper options. I know Aaron just got a new helmet but not sure what brand. I haven't needed to use a helmet in a long time so its been a while.

$120 just seems really low for safety device for your head.

if it matters both rear n fronts do have a flutter of 20

Ok so got to finally go use my truck since rear longtravel. I knew the front was to soft going in. So here's where I could use some more help from the TW crew.

Front is pretty good through the whoops, for sure on the soft side especially in the bigger (pismo style so more like medium) but when I hit any jumps they just completely bottom out and bounce. Waaaaay to soft! Gonna order up some oil and new shims ASAP. The above valving Jason posted still sound about right?

Ok and the rear....rebound felt pretty good but oh man I have the compression completely open and it is real stiff. Only pushed bumps in all the way once. When I jumped it the fronts bounced off the poly bumps hard and the rears barely pushed in at all. So 12comp and 8 rebound with a 20 flutter, would I just change the compression shims out? Or what would you suggest?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

I have a lil crap video I'll post up soon.
