Here it is...I had so many rigging/weather/friends climbing in Mexico challenges! Title of this one "This is how I feel when I'm up there!"....I chose this one out of focus for the reason that is resonates that feeling of climbing. Shot using the d600 and 50mm at f16, had the cam on a tripod shooting every 15 seconds.

    Great job this week everyone!
13 entries with about half of those in a monochrome theme.. Very Nice!

    1) m3bassman (Ben)
+ excellent use of theme/emotion as well as combination of photo/text to tell a story
    - lighting (although theme related w/ the candle) was a little too dark for me

    2) sconniehailer (Marc)
    + excellent composition/theme(dressed the part)/posing
+ loved the ambient lighting and choice of monochrome for this shot

    3) pkjr (Pete)
    + good lighting w/ speedlight & Great emotion! :)
    - little distrated by lamp/chandelier coming out from your cheek

    4) skidooman (TJ)
+ cool minimalist mirror shot w/ good focus & color
    - your fingers detract a little from the composition of this image for me

    5) FreidTaco
    + cool backlighting/sky
    - subject (you) is a little too dark on top half
(would have been cool to see a lighter foreground to match the light sky and subject in All dark clothes as a silhoutte style shot)

    6) Digiratus (Mike)
+ cool window/mirror shot w/ contrast of "old & new" Tacoma scene
    - door frame/hallway photo reflections distract from blurred subject

    7) BuzzardsGottaEat (Chaz)
+ excellent lighting, color, focus & Bowtie! ;)
+ points for Taco backdrop as well..

    8) MapleMoose (Ian)
+ nice use of ambinet lighting to aid with emotion of this shot

    9) 92Shawman (Kevin)
+ another great window/mirror shot w/ increased difficulty of bird! :)
+ cool addition of thumbs-up for emotion

    10) medic2230 (Murph)
+ excellent use of theme & emotion, great soft lighting as well w/ umbrella.
    + great focus w/ a clean/simple compostion

    11) Hagen
+ cool idea & composition; whiteout added emotion to shot, even if undesired
    - would have liked a little (more) crop on this perhaps

    12) Blackdawg (Monte)
+ great perspective, theme, lighting & focus
+ smoke was a cool addition (even if undesired)

    13) 4lo
+ really enjoyed the climbing theme & your rope as a leading line
+ blur added a cool effect also

Overall, a great set of shots everyone!
Thank you for your submissions and for making this a difficult decision once again!!

there were a solid 4-5 potentials for me this week, but after much deliberation and thought, the Winner of the self-portrait challenge is...

    Congratulations Marc!!

I just kept coming back to this shot..
    an excellent combination of theme/composition/lighting/focus..
    Well done Marc!
