i'd say about hood + 300, my reasoning for that is a certifit hood is about 90 picked up if there is a certifit warehouse near you, then about $150 for scoop and insert parts (available oem only) and whatever paint costs, i'd say $150-$250 for a decent job, so it'd be about $400-500 if someone were to put one together

I would think an even trade.
You're both getting something you want or both wouldn't be TRADING.

I would think the same because it is an aesthetic thing the scoop serves no function.

Even trade seems fair as both are getting what they want. Only price difference would be if there is some minor damage to the hood. Chips, dings etc.

It depends I guess. I agree with the trading thing. I at first wanted a scooped hood but don't even think I want one anymore.

I probably wouldn't pay more than $100 on top of the swap.

Depends how bad somebody wants it

Depends on the deal and how easy it's going to be - is there shipping or a long drive for a meetup. But a couple hundred is all you might get, as there are deals out there on just the scooped hood shell from several dealers.

And, uhh... soo... what year and color are you? Cause I'm a 2012 Silver... with a non-scooped hood.. in Southern California... if, you know... no really, seriously, I'm absolutely in the market for a trade.

Been a few trades on the forum for trade +200 or so.
Just depends on how much one guy wants a scoop compared to how much the other wants to get rid of his.

    Beauty of the free market.

Nuts, we match up perfectly; too bad.

I also regularly make the drive from California to Colorado, both through Nevada / Utah and the alt route through Arizona / New Mexico. If you're anywhere around those routes, I'd be willing to detour around to make it work.

    Now I'm done pestering!

I actually did this a few weeks ago with someone I met on CL that had a hood scoop. My truck is a TRD off road and his was a TRD sport. He was trading the truck in to the stealership, so he said he wanted to sell everything off of it before he traded it in.
I got his hood with the scoop and he gave me his new UWS black tool box and his flowmaster 40 exhaust.
All I did was give him my hood and 200 cash.

The going rate is usually non-scoop plus $200-$300 for scoop hood.
I find it amusing that those who think that it should be an even trade are from the non-scooped owners.

I find it amusing that so many people want to add non functional bling to their trucks. Especially after adding all the aftermarket parts that actually do something or serve a purpose. It looks more like a truck with the non scooped hood IMO, if you want the WRX look, go buy a Subi

    X2!!

I just traded my 11 wrx for my taco and personally I couldn't justify getting a hood scoop..coming from a car that had a scoop for a purpose, there's no point in getting a scoop for my taco since it doesn't even function...

I personally think the tacos look much cleaner with no scoop.
