So at this point the $750 question is "What does the back look like?"

Looks good from the pictures. I'm gonna say it would go for around $450. That would be the most I'd pay but like I said earlier I'd probably just do it myself.

Without having a established rep here on the forums like homer taco it will be harder to get a higher price.

I totally forgot to take pics of the "completed" back-side. But it looks decent, & is all painted black.

I'll take it off & snap some pics (of the back) if someone expresses sincere interest...

The perforated metal is attached with 2 screws & 6 zip-tie "blocks".

I'll post some tonight, even though your version of "sincere interest" doesn't include buying my grill... :p

Apparently you don't understand what a Satoshi is worth, I paid more for my '11 grille and that's the easy version. A grillcraft insert for a 12-14 is 300 for just the mesh. A well built full replacement is worth every bit of $400+.

Just because you don't see the value of a product offered for sale doesn't give you the right to shit in someones thread.

If you can make one for less, do it. If you can't afford it, save your money. If you are just a dick, leave.

I can afford it, I was just being a dick . that's just a ridiculous price for a grill.
I wonder if the guys actually willing to pay $400 plus for a grill are the same guys bitching about gas mileage

Haha... I was thinking the same, but it's actually the factory skin/surround/whatever from my grill. In person you don't see that "difference", weird eh ?

    Well said... Rep'd

See previous quote, bold annotation. And yes, they are the same people...

Like was mentioned already, basically the "same" grill (2012+ "super white" Satoshi) as the one on my truck now recently sold on eBay auction (posted here also) for $1125 to a member here.

Although that grill had a Toyota emblem, & I don't expect that much.

Craig's (HomerTaco) sold for over $1k.. If you think it's too much you shouldn't be shopping for one.

chrome on front painted to match, satoshi grill done by myself, BHLM, billys all the way around with ome springs upfront and LR ucas with wheelers 3 leaf progressive pack in the rear, mb gunner wheels powdercoated black on 285/75r16 nitto trail grapplers, tinted all the way around and on windshield, pioneer dbl din touch screen with two 10's behing the seat and new speakers all the way around and certain interior parts painted to match, also have a road wire leather kit black with red stitching sitting here waiting for me to find time to install it!
I have built one for myself and I am building another right now and I will say it is a lot of work! that being said it is going to be hard for people that are making them to keep their prices low enough for people to want to buy them at the same time making a couple dollars...

Aside from the fact these look awesome on 2012 and up front ends, the better part is no one has them. I'd rather pay $1000 for a relatively rare product then pay $400 and drive by 6 other Satoshi equipped Tacos on the way to work.

I think the Raptor style looks awesome but in the DFW area Ford Raptors seem more common than NRA stickers, which takes the sizzle out of it for me.

Opinions on pricing for these things is essentially following the classic bell shaped curve model of statistics. On the extreme right end of the curve is a group of buyers willing to pay a G for a well built and relatively rare custom grill. Homer's bidding activity had multiple bidders ride it to $700 or $800 and I think 3 bidders took it past $900.

Another well built Satoshi goes up on eBay, I'll bid it up again. For those of you looking to start up production and cash in, google "bell shaped curve" before investing too much in materials. Lol.

    The $1000 market is limited.

True... But the $500-$750 market is wide open.

    ;)
