That's sharp. How much extra is the special plates in New Mexico? In Florida it's $25 more.

These are what is on my Tacoma. In Jersey, these are the most expensive of the speacialty plates. I paid a $50.00 additional fee, when I got them initially, and then it is $15.00 additional a year to keep them, but that extra money goes to the up-keep of the USS New Jersey which is docked on the waterfront in Camden as a floating museum, similar to the Intrepid up in New York, the North Carolina, in Wilmington, and the USS Slater in Albany. (sorry I'm something of a student of US naval history)

That's pretty cool. I'm somewhat of a Naval History buff since my dad is retired Navy. I saw the Missouri at Pearl Harbor, that was sweet.

My wife and I went two years ago during the never-ending rain they had in March. I wanted to get my picture taken on the bow but it was raining too damn hard. We went to the Punch Bowl but they had it closed because the run off of water was incredible.

At no point did I intend to offend anyone, I agree that the Missouri is as important as the others, I was simply listing the museum ships that I had personally visited.

I have every intention of making it to Pearl someday, it is just a really long plane ride and a severe fear of flying that has thus far prevented the trip.

I actually went for the Air Guard. They paid my way, put me up in a hotel downtown. I took wifey along, had to pay her way but it was well worth it. The Missouri was fantastic. The Arizona was sobering. What an experience.

Take lots of money with you when you go. It's very expensive there. One week in Hawai'i cost us as much as our four week trip in Europe.
