That's odd. The first thing I think when the doorbell rings is to yell "come in". Doesn't matter who it is.

I remember the first time I tried to invite over a friend that was over 21 when I was like 17. Parents didn't think I should be hanging out with him.

    Sounds kinda like my parents

They're just cautious of people from the internet knowing where we/ our family lives, but dad really enjoyed talking with Doug (4WD) when I bought the 5100's from him, and he also happened to meet angel (n0ms) at Doug's place and recognized him from the resteurant he likes to eat at (Angel is a cook there)

I don't know too many bad guys that will knock on a door when people are awake and just walk in ready to raise hell. Usually they plan better... like wait until everyone is asleep or gone.

speakin' of bad guys coming into good neighborhoods, listen to this story about a bad GIRL coming in a good neighborhood.
i live in one of the nicest neighborhoods in my city. not trying to sound like a brat or a little bitch or anything, but the average price of a house in this neighborhood is around 800k and its a gaited neighborhood. has about 200 houses. its across the street from the nicest private school in town also, where it costs over 20k a year to send your child to elementary school (gag).
this happened about 6 months ago. I was in the shower and my mom started banging on the bathroom door saying "get out now". I said back "why" and she said "trust me". I threw on a pair of shorts and got out, and I heard something at the front door. There was some crazy lady banging on my front door screaming "hallelujah praise lord Jesus thank you Jesus hallelujah", etc. We couldn't see her because we didnt want her to see us, and we had no idea what was going on. She was obviously on drugs or something.
So after I got out of the shower, me and my mom and dad all grabbed one handgun each and ran downstairs. We were at the bottom of the stairs waiting for the police to come, and this lady is still banging and screaming. She never once says "help me". Just "thankyou lord Jesus praise Jesus". We had been on the phone with the police for 10-12 minutes, and they still weren't at our house. My mom was in tears, scared for her life. I could hear her banging on the door, then all the sudden I heard her start banging on the windows. That's when I told my parents "she is going to come through that window. We need to get out of here". So we ran out the back door, and as soon as we were in the backyard, we heard the glass by our front door just shatter. We hopped the fence in my backyard and ran to a neighbors house. They let us in and we stayed there until the 911 operator told us the police finally got there, which took over 30 minutes from the time we called. We walked back up to our house, and there were six police cars there, and all our neighbors were outside also. The police were inside trying to restrain her, and she was completely nude. She took off all of her clothes while she was banging on our door on the front porch. It took 6 police officers to finally restrain her. She was picking up tables and throwing them at the officers, and trying to bite them. There was blood everywhere, and after she was finally tazed enough times and finally was restrained, an EMT came and put her on a stretcher, and the whole time she was still just going crazy screaming the same things, "hallelujah in the name of Jesus I am lord hallelujah". When we looked inside our house after she left, it appears as if after she broke the window, she just went on a rampage grabbing things and throwing them and just wreaking havoc.
After all the neighbors helped us board up the window, we finally went to a hotel at about 3:30 and spent the night there.
