Ice Ice Baby

At 4pm in the Hudson Valley NY it is 66f. All the snow is gone. Feels like spring.

 

Massena, Malone, plattsburg area. Northeast NY. Pretty crappy but at least we didn get the mild temps and loose all our snow! I hate rain and warm temps!! Bring on the snow!!!

You are right. I am looking at the webcam at Marist that looks toward the Walkway and there is zero snow!

 

Do you mean the blizzard of '78 in New England? I remember it well. It happened on my 11th birthday.

i know that my avid snowmobiler brother bailed from vt yesterday morning to avoid that shit lol. weather here says watch out for it tonight and in the morning and im the lucky one who doesn't have to go to work in the morning...be safe out there

 

We are having fog here now but with the low temps its sticking to everything. Have not seen this before...

 

Sun is setting behind Mt.Charleston and it is 58 degrees at this time. I don't envy you folks with fog and freezing rain. Been here so long at 58 degrees I am ready to light the fireplace before dinner.

Stay safe in that mess. I hope for your sake the wind stays calm.

 

Having already been through this crap in '98, I threw a big tarp over the whole truck this time. Had to chip a good inch of ice of the wife's car though...

 

Had all our cars covered in a layer of ice here last week. Now it's 67 degrees.

 

Truck is warm and dry in the garage, but yep, we have some ice out there.





Roads aren't bad though. Ground is just warm enough that it's not doing much on the roads. Grass, trees and everything else is a different story though. Reminds mw of the Tom & Jerry cartoon where they flood the kitchen then rig the fridge to freeze everything.

 

I hope you had those door seals lubricated with baby oil or something like that, because opening doors may be impossible. Hate ice, cleanup is complete pain.

 

It wasn't too bad up here. We went out on our bikes!!

 

So glad we don't get that down hur.

 

It was around 80 here today and a little humid.

They closed the interstate for downed icy wires this morning. The roads were bulletproof.

 

It sounds pretty bad. I'm just outside of Montpelier and we have had nothing but rain, no icing. I need to go to Essex this afternoon hopefully things get better. Though it is supposed to get a lot colder.
