I like the idea of being able to adjust them quickly and easily. Hit the trails… Adjust. Leave the trails… Adjust.

The Kings I have are terrible when it comes to adjusting. Everything else about them is great except that.

I would like to see these things in action. Also it would be cool if he was there with a support trailer and could sell and install on site. Might just have to get some then!

Like Jerry said, you'd want to link the rear. There's no point in adding them onto leaf springs since the leafs already generate your lift.

I can't speak for ride quality like I said above, but as for more lift, they generate whatever lift you want. You can set it high or low. You are still basically capped at 3-3.5" of lift just because the rest of the suspension can't do that without a drop bracket lift.

Thanks for the info jerry and everyone else. Learning a lot. Are new uca's required for these or just a good idea. Noticed everyone had after market ones. I currently just have stock setup in the front with coil spacer. Full leaf in the back. Just trying to see if I would need any extras other than your kit to run these. Nitrogen tank noted. Thanks guys

Uni ball UCA's are recommended or LR the stock UCA can't handle the extra travel.

I think he meant to say, "can't"

You'll want to get some Light Racing UCA's or some uniball UCA's otherwise your OEM UCA will be your limit strap...

So do these come with top mounting plate and limiting strap when you order from your web site?
Also how do these handle in -40 temps?

The do not come with limit straps there not needed with the 8" If you don't have a UCA that can handle the travel you will need to add limit straps. And I would have to check to see if they can handle -40 temps.

Ok im running the lr uca those should do for now but if you could find out temp limits that would be great!

And what about top mounting plate?

Light Racing will do fine. When with JW we found that my LR UCA's actually had more down travel than his Total Chaos uniball UCA's.

I imagine they can handle the temps, but you will lose some good ride height and will have to have N2 to fill them back up.

I had mine aired up to abut 840psi when I left JW's and it was in the 50's. I have about 7.5-8" of shaft showing. About a week later the temps dropped down to around 0 and they dropped a good inch. I didn't have a gauge to measure the pressure drop but I did some rough math and figured my pressure dropped down about 60-100 psi (I can't remember the exact number I calculated off the top of my head, haha).

So if you stay at a constant -40, just air them up when they drop. When the temps come back up just let some out. If you are moving from area to area where the temps change greatly, like driving in 1 day from -40 to like 0, I doubt it will hurt them but you will be riding high until you let some out.

Whats the max pressure on these things then?

The main seal can handle 5000psi the recommended pressure is 600psi but they can handle more, I don't recommend running over 1000psi unless it's High Way only.

Mine have been in -20*F, I never adjusted them and saw a range of 60*F in temperature change as it warmed up to 40*F a few days later. The ride height fluctuated with the temps but has been consistent going back to the original ride height they were set at when last charged relative to the temp. I have not checked the pressures in the chamber so I can't speak to that but my guess is that they have remained fairly consistent. My only concern running them in conditions like this are the seals and shafts being damaged by the shit they put on the roads and all the grime, grit etc from the constant freeze/thaw going on where I live.
