So I accidentally shorted something out in my interior fuse box and my running lights for my brakes no longer work. Anyone know of a place/site where I can order another one? I'm trying to avoid going to the dealer for this damn thing.

For a fuse? Go to a auto parts store lol

    It's a 10A fuse

No, the entire fuse box assembly under the dash.

Not quite sure why you would need a whole fuse block replacement unless it's melted from the short. What did you do and any pics of your fuse box?

I was replacing my aftermarket radio with another one and my ADHD kinda kicked in and i got distracted and two of my wires shorted and blew the relay inside the fuse box that controls my running lights for the brakes. So as of now, my brakes and reverse lights work, but only when I use the brake. So I need a replacement so I can drive at night before I get pulled over.

And no, no pictures because I took it to my mechanic. Didn't have any idea how to get to it or what to do if I did haha

Did this ever get resolved? Having a similar issue now only mine isn't putting out voltage so the alternator didn't charge the battery.
Can't even find the part number for this thing. The shop where it's at doesn't know either and the dealer apparently quoted them $900.

They catalog this stuff. How do I find the part number I need?

Edit I guess go by my VIN but google doesn't really yield much right now. Is there a different name I should be looking for other than interior fuse box?

How did you diagnose this. I have the same problem. Is your air and windows not working?

    With a multimeter.
Air wasn't working but windows did work.
Check the easy stuff first. With the truck running and your headlights and radio on what's your battery voltage?
    Loose or corroded grounds?

I already addressed the voltage problem. What’s weird is the problem comes and goes and if I kick the fuse box it will go away for 3 days. Not smart but I have no time.

Well kidding aside that does sound then like it's a problem inside the cabin fuse box. I pulled one from a wrecked truck for $40 and it solved my problems.

In San Diego there's tons of them lining the border. Not sure about your area but if there are any I'd call them up and ask if they have similar Tacomas around. I don't think this cabin fuse box is too trim specific.

Good luck. Try Bajas 2 and Daves 2 first they usually have a bunch. And if you pay cash = no tax
